- We rope-dropped Haunted Mansion Holiday and got to be in the FIRST group that experienced the ride on opening day! You can feel the hype of the crowd as we walk through the line and hop on the ride.

Well done, noting that you had the stamina, and fortitude, to sit on that hard brick, for 20-30 minutes, waiting to get in. You didn’t give up!
When Disney first introduced the upcoming NBC overlay, I was not pleased. This was my beloved Haunted Mansion, which was perfect as is, in every way. I then road it, for the first time, shortly after it’s first NBC opening. My original prejudices, misconceptions, and misgivings, was soooo not justified, because the Disney Imagineers got it soooo right.
I love the passion and fun they put into this overlay every year.
I think I still subtly crave the original, but you're right that this version does now run a really really close 2nd

Amazing video! Super clear and colors really pop!! We cannot wait to visit Disneyland again next month!! It will be my son and his family's first visit and my son's wife is a huge Nightmare Before Christmas fan. We are keeping it a secret about Haunted Mansion Holiday so she'll be surprised.
Yay first time visitors are the best! They really help make you see the park in a whole new light again and what an awesome surprise

I'll be visiting this December and not looking forward to ths holiday change. I love the original, but this might be cool. I guess I need to watch the movie!

The animatronics look mostly like cutouts where the doom buggies are. All the money and they never made it right.
It’s actually meant to be a large cardboard cutout holiday greeting card. Fun Fact: Each year it gets bigger and bigger as a new character is added into the loading area.
