I was fishing for "schoolie" bass. That's what I call 1-2 pound largemouth that school up and herd shad.An ultralight combo with small diving shad plugs would let you catch them until your arms were tired. A ton of fun on 2 or 4 pound line.
I set the hook once and it was something big. Here I am with 2lb on my bluegill rod. He was ornery and took me a couple of minutes to get him to the boat. It was 6 pounds, 2 ounces of largemouth eating shad among the schoolies. That is still my 3rd pb.
That carp on 4lb reminded me of that. I'll say one thing, the fish you caught out of there all looked healthy and well-fed.

I am glad I watched this one. I have been trying to get some talapia for samples for a local biologist and I found some on bed put couldn't get a bite. I wasn't soaking the panfish jig long enough, just swam it past them.
Ultra light is my fav way to fish and it's been a winner for me for so many years and locations. South Florida canals are epic and loaded with exotics 🎉
Catching ditch pickles one after the other can be fun. Hooking into those big bullgills down there, too.

Tilapia here around my area in Florida easily get 4 lbs. Most of the time I catch the large ones on in line spinners when bass fishing lighter tackle.

I still never saw the 4 pound panfish. Tilapia are not panfish. Tilapia are a freshwater fish belonging to the cichlid family. Native to Africa but introduced to many places around the world.

First, learn to set your drag properly. There's plenty of tutorials out there. Second, don't chomp gum or whatever when attempting to create content, it's unbearable.
