You need new DAS modules 3 of them to be exact. You cant just replace 1, you need all three to be programed . Was in a similar situation ,the front module (steering ECU) was damaged .

I’m having the same issue with my steering wheel being super heavy what should I do?

If you are experiencing difficulty in turning the steering wheel of your 2016 Infiniti and it feels unusually heavy, there could be several possible causes. While I can provide some general guidance, please keep in mind that diagnosing and repairing automotive issues is best left to trained professionals. However, here are a few steps you can take:
Check the power steering fluid: Inspect the power steering fluid reservoir, located under the hood. Ensure the fluid level is within the recommended range. If it is low, you may need to add more power steering fluid. Refer to your vehicle's owner manual for the correct type of fluid and instructions on how to add it.
Inspect for leaks: Look for any signs of power steering fluid leaks around the hoses, connections, and power steering pump. Leaks can cause a loss of power steering assistance. If you find any leaks, it's important to have them repaired by a professional mechanic.
Check the drive belt: A worn or loose drive belt can result in reduced power steering assistance. Inspect the drive belt that connects the power steering pump to the engine. Look for signs of wear, cracks, or looseness. If necessary, have a mechanic adjust or replace the belt.
Test the power steering pump: The power steering pump provides hydraulic pressure to assist with steering. If the pump is faulty, it may not be providing sufficient pressure. A professional mechanic can perform tests to evaluate the pump's performance and determine if it needs repair or replacement.
Assess the steering system components: Other components such as the steering rack, tie rods, or ball joints could be worn or damaged, causing excessive resistance in the steering system. These components should be inspected by a qualified mechanic to identify any issues.
Consult a professional mechanic: If the above steps do not resolve the problem, it is recommended to take your Infiniti to a certified mechanic or an Infiniti dealership for a thorough diagnosis. They have the specialized tools and expertise to accurately identify the underlying cause of the hard steering and provide appropriate repairs.
Remember, dealing with steering-related issues is crucial for your safety on the road. It is always best to have a qualified professional inspect and repair any problems to ensure your vehicle is in proper working condition.

Hello, I have a 2014 Infiniti Q50 Hybrid Premium AWD with adaptive steering and wanted to know if there is interchangeable Rack and Pinions for my car. I contacted the dealer and they said it’s about 4-5k for exact OEM replacement from dealer. I’m trying to see if I can find another one that will fit from a more common model. Thanks

it can be sonar, it can be abs control module, it can be faulty steering wheel actuator. there are above 15 different things which may result in that failure or just CAN bus wire issue. once I found post about replacing ABS sensor which fixed that issue. That ADAS system had to be more isolated and part of it - DAS had to be designed differently to prevent from such failures.

@@nazarbarabash6381 so i currently am driving with no bumper and my sonar sensors are disconnected, can DAS recalibrate itself with these sensors off, no parking aid? @deeppurple313 that’s odd as normally changing the 3 modules fixes it or getting it reprogrammed at a dealer.

@deeppurple313 so you had a yellow steering icon on the dash, a hazard triangle and the traction light on?

So I was able to solve my issue and it was extremely easy actually. All I did was took the vehicle for a drive. I found a nice straight road and did speeds exceeding 60mph. The vehicle automatically calibrated the steering and all the lights that were on the cluster went off and vehicle and is back to normal with 0 issues ever since.
