100% the only thing really difficult abt that song is the gravity blasts and the rlly fast heel-toe technique used in the main drum part we all know. the rest is relatively simple, especially for deatmetal. this song tho... 🤤🥴
There is an interview in Russian where Evgeny says that he got tired of writing complex parts, since most people don’t appreciate it anyway, and wants to try writing simpler “hit” parts for mass listener.

Both sticks flipped every time you see him play. I might do it with my left for a song or two, but both and always, I'm impressed. I half wonder at least with the left if its to keep the stick height down but keep the power up, for faster blasts but hell that doesn't work for me. All I know is it sounds awesome and if you notice it looks badass and brutal AF.

as with all those "blastbeat king" youtube videos, it´s mechanical, stiff, without groove or feeling. I love "blastbeats" but I see no sense in playing like hitting "start" on a drumcomputer. we had the same thing back in the 1980s with the endless army of "guitar heroes" who managed to "blast" 300 arpeggios up and down in a minute, or pluck a guitar string 50000 in a minute. ok, nice, that´s sports, please measure who can hit a drumhead or pluck a string the most in one minute and then stop it.
this already spoiled a whole generation of wanna-be-musicians who all can blast 300 bpm and sound like total rookies when they try to play a midtempo beat, or make ANYTHING halfway musical, creative, innovative.
I guess I understand where you're coming from. But, to be fair the playing is totally appropriate for the music.
Tom Infinit I really couldn't imagine death metal having no blasts because the genre literally is all about blast beats in terms of the drums. Even groovy death metal bands blast beat quite a bit. Katalepsy is on the more brutal side, so holding back really wouldn't do them much justice.
