Awesome Idea!! But for weight and cost Luan in 1/4 in would have been ideal!!!! Home Depot will cut strips for you. I used 8in wide strips for my kitchen!!! Looks exactly like shiplap, it’s cheap, and light weight!!!

I have used thinner boards before which have warped when being relocated often. I suggest a thicker board for durability :) They didn't end up being very heavy and were easy to transport

Luan will warp terribly if it ever gets wet11

Oh Elysia your Handmade and Upcycle projects are inspiring. I appreciate how you manage your time between your family and projects. Second you will save yourself time if you invest in the paintzoom or Wagner, or any lightweight professional paint spray gun for large or small projects. Third, I love the IKEA - Apparo(probably spelling it wrong) outdoor benches with rack in redwood color. I wanted four of them, don't want to pay $159-$199 for each. So when you made this twice as bigger than I what needed, for about $250 or less I was hooked. I knew I can do it for a lot less, and IKEA sells the paint color redwood. And it's movable. Inspired by you. Meantime keep up the great work.

This is such an inspiration for me! I need something like this for a craft show I have this month and I am going to attempt to make one of these this weekend, that way i can see my skill level for it, and if my sanity stays in tact I will attempt another one 😂
Thank you for showing ALL OF THE STEPS for those that need them, we appreciate you and your vast creativity!

Great Job! I did shiplap in my bathroom. I did not use 2x4's tho. I had Lowe's cut 4' X 8' Birch underlayment to 5 " and install on wall in my bathroom. PERFECT!!! I realized you need strong walls for your booth and yours looks fabulous!! Just my idea I wanted to share with you. By the way...love your videos ♥️

Honestly, I have a few different ideas to see how I like it best. I originally was going to use small finishing nails where I knew I would hang standard sized signs. Now I am considering removable hooks? Ill update you when I figure it out :)

You are an inspiration! I want to create a workshop space for myself, similar to yours. Do you have a video of how you created your workshop and which tools you suggest as standard tools to get started? I have the basics (jigsaw, sander, circular saw, chopsaw, and tons of hand tools). I really want a miter saw, nail gun, air compressor, and a better staple gun. I’d love to hear how you accumulated your tools. Did you thrift any tools? Thanks so much for all your content! I love your style and your craftsmanship!

  • @jolenethetoolwomantaylor5973

I plan on using this idea to make a back wall to display my clocks, can you tell me, did you ever put the casters on? If so what size did you use? Thank you for all that you teach us 🥰🙏

Did you add rollers to any of your panels? Could you finish the back side of panels with shiplap also or would they be too top heavy for use. A retail shop? Thanks!
