  • In this "Fashion School with Nick Verreos" video I continue draping a Princess Seam Bodice, showing you how to do the CENTER BACK and SIDE BACK panels. This is one of the lessons from my new book, The Fundamentals of Fashion Draping. A princess seam is a seam line that traditionally runs from the armhole or the shoulder to the hem, where the bust and the waist darts are incorporated into this seam.

Watching this video makes me want to re-watch Season 2 of Project Runway (which happens to be the best season ever of that show).

Hi Nick, I'm in the UK and found your videos exciting and you breakdown every detail I need to know. I took up dressmaking 2 1/2 years ago and in May '24 I found your videos. As a newbie with no drawing or fashion experience I have learnt countouring and love your book a basic guide to pattern drafting which I use together with your videos. A long messsage I know but I expect you'll respond with a short reply 😀
