- The Kentucky mom accused of fatally shooting her two kids appeared in court on Monday. Tiffanie Lucas is charged with two counts of murder in connection to the deaths of 6-year-old Maurice Baker Jr. and 9-year-old Jayden Howard in their Bullitt County home on November 8.

Really good women to show up for the 2 young boys; Maurice & Jayden. No one deserves to go through this, well spoken young women... great people to have in your community. Kind, caring, & intelligent. The "system" didn't fail the 2 children; the human beings running the system, following up with the reports failed.

The trial is set for March and I’m so ready. I Love these beautiful ladies for doing what’s right. I’m here in Louisville Ky so this case is just 25 mins away. I absolutely hate that anyone would harm an innocent child

Happened last February to a little girl a few houses down from my house. The grandmother beat the little girl to death. Eight years old. The school had reported bruises on the child months prior. So sad

Why would the reporter ask the grieving aunt of the two murdered children, “Why was it so important for her to be here, especially for “something little, like this?”
I would think that, of course it would be important for her to see the woman who murdered her two little nephews. I would imagine that for their family and normal human beings, having two small children murdered is not “A little thing like this”
Also, for the reporter to ask if it is too difficult for the dad who just had his two sons murdered by his wife, to come to court, seems like an asinine question to ask.
I know this is not the same case but these reporters have no sympathy sometimes. the pregnant 18 year old who was murdered the day before she was supposed to be induced in San Antonio asked the cops how far she was dialated . Like wtf 👀
I think the “little thing” the reporter was referring to was the short court appearance, not the crimes. It sounds like those 2 ladies traveled a long way to be there for such a brief encounter, that takes dedication, and I applaud them for it. And personally, I was also wondering why the father didn’t show up, seems like the aunts cared more enough to be there, to me…

What horrifies me so much is that we will have to hear about so many more of these crimes that will be committed in the future. There are innocent victims to be EVERYWHERE, and most of them probably have no idea they're in someone's cross hairs. More than likely someone who they trust, and who is supposed to LOVE them. Unfortunately, CPS/the state dropping the ball is not exclusive to the United States. I remember cases in Germany where their equivalent of CPS either wouldn't, or couldn't do more. And everytime an investigation is launched, criminal and otherwise, the only results are empty words. Nothing happens to reform CPS or state law, or to even introduce federal law for increased child protection.

My cousin’s ex killed their children instead of giving him custody as courts ordered. She served 25 years and has been out living her life. My cousin is a shell of his old self; he is just waiting for his life to end. Very sad.
