    Thanks for sharing this . We need more as this process has been put on the back burner and dying fast. We must not let this happen. Thanks again.

    Thank you. Wish I had some training in universities and private facilities where I worked.
    I am retired now. I survived without this training. Not good.
    Thanks again.
    Keep these training videos coming.

    Victor welding/brazing/cutting torches are equipped with flashback arrestors at the torch end,for more safety will it be out of order if additional set of flashback arrestors are installed at the regulators end.Thanks for this info and I look forward to hearing from you.

    QUESTION: I know it would be unsafe to do so, and there would be no reason to do so, but what would happen if you were to crack open an acetylene canister and light the air coming directly out of the canister? Would it instantly blow up the entire canister or would it just ignite the pressurize acetylene coming out and create a flame (somewhat similar to a torch before you turn on the oxygen)?

    • @SPARC3337
      @SPARC3337 Před rokem

      likely the flame would catch up with the flow and would probably exceed that and blow the cylinder up. Just what I would think from some of the things ive seen

    What happens if you try to use acetylene over the 15 psi rate, and under the 7% tank level?

    • @TheDirtyyoungman1
      @TheDirtyyoungman1 Před 9 lety +3

      Just found out about the 7% issue,, you run the risk of acetone getting into your line.. Not good for hoses..

      The Acetylene will become envirnmentally unstable, and can spontantinously combust without warning.

    It would be good for the Spanish speaking countries to make a didactic video on how to correctly use oxyfuel equipment clearly in clear Spanish supported by this type of companies such as Harris, Uniweld, Victor or Smith.

    Is it safe to place both fuel and gas cylinders very close to each other in the first place though?.🤔

    • @kirito8720
      @kirito8720 Před 2 lety

      Yes, they're sealed. And even in the event of a leak or a fire, your already reaching for the acetylene valve to turn it off. And if there's no regulator on the bottles, the bottle caps go on.

  • @jackcowan351
    @jackcowan351 Před 9 lety +1

    :/ The dashes on the acetylene hose nuts do not mean left hand thread, it means flammable gas.

    • @TheDirtyyoungman1
      @TheDirtyyoungman1 Před 9 lety

      Every other video I've watched so far says it IS for showing left handed threading..

    • @TheDirtyyoungman1
      @TheDirtyyoungman1 Před 9 lety

      I'm guessing they use left hand threading on stuff like gas connections,, as a safety feature... Makes one think about if they are doing it correctly or not..

    Litte upset...it's a safety video that ends without covering everything. As a matter of fact, it ends right when the really dangerous conditions are starting.
    Good video, but shouldn't end until you've covered everything!

    You'd think these guys could afford a decent video camera instead of using a $70 piece of crap camera. God damn I cannot believe how horseshit the image quality is.

  • @letserb
    @letserb Před 6 lety

    This is hilarious, maybe ask people that actually use the equipment instead of listening to this crap. Most of what they cover is common sense the rest is just plain bullshit. The best part of all this is they miss the most important item required, WHERE THE HELL IS THE FLASH BACK ARRESTER?????? Having seen torches plugged with carbon as well as the arrester I can say for a fact they work, they save lives.
