Manchester United have confirmed the transfer of Casemiro from Real Madrid. The Brazilian has arrived in an initial £60m deal plus £10m in add-ons - and he will sign a four-year deal with the option of an extra year.

People saying he's 30 years old and too old haha, but I still think even though he's on a 5 year contract there is a possibly he can play at a high level in all those years, plus when Man U finds his eventual replacement then he can mentor him and when he leaves that person will be ready. It's not like he's playing AMF or is a forward, he was bought to shore up the midfield and have some physicality in there and we will see how that pans out whenever he plays. With that said, it all comes down to every single player on Man U and if they keep their mentality throughout the season to finish in a CL spot or something.

@@sighfly2928 Casemiro developed as a player in Real Madrid and that is how I know he will have a very good fitness level even at the age of 35. Madrid had and has one of the best trainers and diet routine from wold football, which has been proven many times recently.
Having one or two players with very good fitness and performances after the age of 30 could be said is on he players, but when most of your players that were and are still at you and has very good fitness level and performances after the age of 30, is on the club

CR7 is 37 and plays better than a 20 year old... So age is just a number for these level of athletes who are healthy and still play like they are in there 20’s also they carry something not everyone has, which is experience at the highest levels and trophies...they know how to get them!!

You could see Casemiro was in Awe of Roy, anyone who plays that position would have studied Keane's game. if you ever hear Midfield Generals like Michael Essien & Daniele De Rossi they both name Keane as their Idol, the guy was a behemoth in the middle of the Park. Case would be no different!
He really was the best of his generation along side Vieira. Even at age 33-34 last years at UTD Keane was still bossing the middle of the park despite being half a yard slower. The guys physicality and mentality was cut from a different cloth.
@@AB-sg5wn if you watch his last game for United against Liverpool aged 34, he bossed Steven Gerard and Xabi Alonso that day who were 25 and 23 respectively. In an interview Gerard names Keane as the toughest midfielder he faced in the Premier League, saying he was the best out of Viera Lampard and Scholes.

The 5yr contract could be deemed a problem, but the way Man Utd have been it could be a good thing to have a serial winner in the dressing room, just to cement it into the next generation.
Fellow Red Devil family, I know it hurts seeing us sign players that are in their late 20's or early 30's to even late 30's, but right now we have no choice, we need to get back to challenging by any means necessary.. once we are challenging, then we will be in a position to bring in youngsters that will get eased into the squad and train with the current talent so that they become better players themselves in the future of our club. The culture is not forgotten, we just need to get back to winning ways as soon as possible, because financially it's going to REALLY hit us soon if we don't start challenging the big clubs again.
