  • In this video I am showing the location of radio and amplifier fuse on Kia Sportage SUV ( 2004 | 2005 | 2006 | 2007 | 2008 | 2009 | 2010 | LX | 4WD | LUXURY ).
If radio on your Kia Sportage is not powering up you will want to check the 10A audio fuse inside the fuse box on the driver side of the cabin.
If there is no sound coming from the speakers, you will want to check 20A fuse located in the fuse box under the front hood.
Watch the video and see the exact location of each fuse on a Kia Sportage SUV.
    Thanks for watching.

FYI there is a second fuse in the cabin that also powers part of the radio system. It’s labeled AV on the diagram and it’s in the bottom row. If you radio isn’t powering on check that one as well.

What I'm trying to find out is what about the radio fuses or something electrical messed up with the radio with keep the car from continuing to charge with the battery

You might have a passive battery drain, but a proper test should be done to test each circuit. Doesn't have to be radio responsible, could be pretty much anything. Before anything else, test battery and alternator

Your parasitic draw issue is coming from a circuit that is never switched off. Power steering comes to mind.
