This short documentary follows Johnny Gargano as he works Absolute Intense Wrestling's biggest event of the year - Absolution IX.
In this first volume, Johnny talks about why fans are so important to his career as an independent wrestler, as well as highlighting one of his biggest fans, Kayden Reinke.
Johnny also talks about the injury he sustained at EVOLVE 10 during the last wrestling show hosted in the ECW arena.
Stay tuned for Volume 2 where Johnny talks about his hometown of Cleveland, and how he got started wrestling.
As of 2016, Johnny is competing in NXT and is a part of the WWE Cruiserweight Classic

i remember watching gargano for the first time in PWG back in BOLA 2013. And I was like 'this guy is awesome' and I find it as strange how johnny connects with the fans because he's really just johnny...he's just a guy and for some reason people like myself go 'this is my favourite wrestler' or this guy is one of my favourite wrestlers'.
I love Johnny's connection with his fans. It means a lot to know that a wrestler loves his fans as much as we love watching them perform.

Wish this would've been a full length documentary. Definitely would've bought the DVD. This is still excellent regardless of the length. Amazing work. Can't wait for Volume 2!

+BadNews Kelly Leak NXT/WWE isn't the be all end all of wrestling anymore. They may probably pay the most. But there are other avenues that will hopefully continue to grow, because WWE itself is hot garbage these days.
Retro Revelations I agree, the WWE sucks right now but they do pay the most and have the most exposure. The world needs to see how good Candice is damn it!

I agree that the world needs to see a lot of indie stars. For me personally, I was a huge WWF/E fan for years. But within the last 7-8, they just really lost me, outside of a few bright spots like Punk or Danielson.
Around 2012 or so, I gradually migrated over to watching Chikara, and by 2014 I was watching every one of their shows. I certainly wish they had a much higher level of exposure, and many of their stars, like Kimber Lee, The Colony, Hallowicked and Frightmare, Icarus, Shynron, Ophidian, etc., are REALLY good, and deserve a bigger spotlight and audience.
I guess I just dislike the notion that many people seem to think "NXT should sign ____"....mainly because while I'm sure a lot of those wrestlers would be (at least initially) thrilled to get more money and exposure, I'd hate to see the indies get more of their top talent poached. I'd rather just see companies like Chikara, Lucha Underground and maybe Global Force Wrestling get bigger, and get more exposure (and pay for their talent) that way. I suppose that was my main point. Cheers.

It's funny reading this after all these year's now. Johnny is now pretty much the top guy in NXT and easily one of the best worker's in WWE today. Life is crazy.

I was never familiar with the guy until recently.
Never watched NXT and his initial "debut" a couple of years ago was not memorable.
Looking back on this, I can definitely see he had the "it" factor even back then.
The more exposure he gets on the big stage the better he becomes.
His spot in the Elimination Chamber I doubted but after seeing it, WOW!
He did fantastic along with all the other combatants.

Dont mean to take the spotlight away from Johnny but this is one of the main reasons I have so much respect for John Cena. I may not like his character in the ring, but the impact he has on wrestling, his fans and in the world in general is something that should be recognized more by smark fans
