  • Hi everyone!
In today's video I'll be discussing Major Hurricane Beryl once again that has reached a peak intensity of a Category 5 with sustained winds of 165mph and a pressure of 934mbs! As of the latest 11AM advisory from the NHC it is now a 160mph Category 5 with a pressure of 938mbs. Jamaica is next in line for direct impacts and now likely a direct landfall along its southern coast from Beryl at likely a Category 3 or weak Category 4 intensity. This means Beryl will likely bring devastating wind, rain, and flooding impacts to Jamaica, the likes of which they haven't seen in a long time. After Jamaica, it's a question mark of where exactly does Beryl cross the Yucatan Peninsula and at what strength? It will likely be a weaker hurricane when it crosses the Yucatan, but exactly how strong it is by then is still to be determined because of the stronger shear it is beginning to encounter.
Please like the video, comment down below your thoughts on Beryl thus far and what you think it will do to Jamaica and the other areas in its path, and subscribe for more updates on Beryl and the rest of the hurricane season.
