Once there was life and we were strong, full of pride
Once we bred fear and we would take the flesh denied
Once we were God's and all things knelt before our word or died
    Now we're just a ruin
    We were our undoing
    We're the unforgiven.
Once there was light but we were vain, lost in mind
Once we bled rage and to our shame we killed the blind
Once we were praised but all things fall, even God's unkind
    Now we're a dead religion
    Not one soul delivered
    We're the unforgiven
    We're unforgiven
    We're unforgiven
    We're unforgiven
    We're unforgiven

This one made me think back to Telekon in some parts... lots of oldschool Numan still shines through to this day.

i must have fallen out of the loop! this is great, isn't this the "in cars" guy from a long time ago??? this is bizarre... in a good way.. timeless like Trent Reznor

thats the one alright for "in cars". I used to hear that tune on the radio all the time and they mentioned him by name as the singer.

trent got a lot of inspiration from numan in the early years, so the connection is there for sure. the two being unrivaled gods and pioneers of industrial electronic music.

0:25 to 0:50 sounds like a NIN song I've heard before and it drives my brain nuts trying to think of it.

Ade Fentons production is great. I think Numan has made an error finishing that relationship with Ade.

Has alot of Trent'ish sound in it. Theres some differences though. Trent seems to use more layers of sounds than Gary does. And Gary, generally, writes better lyrics ;b
Trent has really great lyrics in a few songs here and there. But so many of them are so g'damn angsty i can barely listen to it without cringing. Which is sad, since the music is so great.
