Rebecca Jean I feel like charter schools are often looked at negatively, especially from public school educators, which is why I’d be interested to hear from someone who has actually experienced both
Establishing and contributing to a retirement is very important, especially when you are young and starting out. I'm in my 15th year teaching and have been contributing to my state educational retirement fund but I wish started an additional Roth IRA because I only have 10 more years before I am eligible for retirement. It's great seeing you!
Soo agree!!! I’m in my 12 year teaching and just started a roth IRA this year, I have 18 years until I can retire, but I’m only 34 right now so might work an 20-25 more years before retiring and will contribute to my roth IRA for the next 25 years until 59
Aww Fernanda, I’m happy for you! That charter situation sounded tough and I hope this new route suits you! It will be a tough year because of the pandemic but I wish you happiness and success!
Such a crazy time but I'm excited for you 💛Having a team will make a world of a difference!! I actually just found out yesterday that I will be teaching grade 1 here in Thailand and I can't wait 😊
Yay! Hey, Fernanda! I missed you!! 😊🥰 Oh yeah, I saw this on your Instagram since it’s a public one since if you don’t have a Instagram account, you can only view the public accounts like yours! 😀 Congrats on your new job!! HUGS! ❤️Aaron
Good for you. It’s important to look out for yourself and your retirement. Glad you left the Charter school. Hope your school district has a good teachers’ union. Greetings from New York. 👍🏼🇵🇷🗽❤️
I worked at a school and I was the only teacher for a grade level once too. I had a work friend but it was challenging being all by myself. Also the environment wasn’t the best. Wishing you a good school year come what may. I work at a charter school in AZ and my retirement is with the state of AZ.
I’d love to see a video about the differences between charters & public school from the perspective of teacher who is been a part of both!
That would be me haha I can tell you allll about it

I loved my school and the people I worked with, but not having a grade level team was hard

Aww Fernanda congratulations. It was the best to be in a public school for a district.
I'm so happy for you!! It's definitely helpful to have a team and to be there to help, support, and understand what you're going through!!
Oh! I am so happy for you and your new teammate is sooo lucky!!! I am so excited that you will be sharing your journey!

Good luck! Love watching you! FYI- my charter pays into retirement and we get retirement, so I think it’s up to the charter. 😁
My charter paid into retirement but not the ASRS
You should do a home/set up classroom vlog :)

I switch schools and districts in the middle of the pandemic too.
