valid in what way? you or me personally liking or disliking something doesn't negate the obvious technical, plot, and acting errors in this movie. If you willfully choose to ignore them because you "like the movie", that's cognitive dissonance. @llyAwesome

I fully recognize that Madame Web is not a “good” movie by the traditional interpretation that is accepted by most audiences. The whole point of our review, however, is to convey that even if it is technically bad on a production side, that doesn’t mean that the movie itself can’t still be fun or enjoyable. Film is an art form, an opinion on the quality of all facets of film is subjective. People may agree with each other, but that doesn’t mean that their opinion is the only truth of quality. It may be the majority opinion, but that still doesn’t make it the default truth.
Like what you want to like, dislike what you want to dislike. Everyone can have a difference of opinion and enjoy what they want. That is the essence of being a human. Madame Web may fail at the many aspects it’s trying to achieve, but that doesn’t mean there can’t still be a level of enjoyment found within.
For me personally, I thought it was fine. A harmless way to kill 2 hours that had parts I found enjoyable. People may disagree, obviously, and that’s fine. I merely wanted people to know that the overwhelming negativity towards Madame Web is not necessarily the entire story.
Now Morbius on the other hand… woof. (lol)
