I wouldn’t be surprised if it was announced in mid 2025 and released in early 2026. Strong feeling Nintendo would do a massive Mario direct that year to celebrate 40 years of silly plumber shenanigans and announce huge games like the next mario kart and 3D mario game

@@not_kjb Dude, Mario Kart 8 is nearly 10 years old. Mario Kart is one of Nintendo’s bestselling series. I can think of many ideas that could be cool. They won’t just stop at antigravity. You think Nintendo’s gonna just abruptly stop their best series at 8 games? It’s gonna carry on for a VERY long time.

@@not_kjb Heres an idea for a new mechanic, size shifting. During certain parts of the track you can shrink down to take a shortcut. While small you are a bit faster, but more vulnerable to getting squished. Or maybe on other tracks you can grow really big and crush any smaller racers.

Fantastic video! I agree that a MK9 or MK10 is LOOOOONNNGGG over due and personally expect Nintendo to host a direct potentially as soon as mid February in which they would announce their NEXT home console and simultaneously announce MK9, I also think it will be a launch title given the unmatched success of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on switch
I really hope we get it as a launch title. It will make me 1000x more hyped for the next console!

Honestly, solid prediction! I mean, we will be stuck with no additional content for 8DX for a while. Yet, tbh, we already have so much. Not all of it is the best quality, but it's solid enough to hold over for a while.
Very true! 8DX is still an amazing game, and I see myself enjoying it for quite some time.

I remember Nintendo saying that they wanted to keep the switch going for 10 years so a new console would probably come in late 2027 earliest so by your logic of it coming 1 yr after the console it would be Late 2028

nintendo wont wait after switch 2 release until they release mk9. instead, they will release mk9 as a launch titel to push console sales. wouldnt make sense otherwise. they want to get the switch 2 hype as big as possible and mk9 is their biggest title. there is no reason why they wouldnt put mk9 as a launch title

I get that a lot of people want a Mario Kart 9 since it's been 10 years since Mario Kart 8 came out, but I just don't get what's the harm in playing other kart racing games ? It just seems like Mario Kart fans have this weird hatred for other kart racers for some reason. Why not just play Chocobo GP, KartRider: Drift, Disney Speedstorm, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, and Lego 2K Drive if you're getting a little bored of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe ? It just reminds me of GTA fans when it comes to them being impatient about GTA 6. Games like The Simpsons: Hit & Run, Watch Dogs, Sleeping Dogs, Saints Row, and Mafia exist if they're so pressed to play an open world sandbox game so bad. It just seems like people only wanna play games that are mainstream. I remember I commented that on some other youtubers video and someone got mad at me saying but those games are old. GTA 5 is literally 11 years old now, but people are still playing it. Then what's strange is whenever a port or remake of a game comes out gamers eat it up when they know good and well that they played that game a thousand times already. It all just doesn't really make sense to me.

When they showed Chocobo GP and Disney Speedstorm during the Nintendo Directs, they were being negative towards them. Especially whenever they would show a jrpg or farming game. The hate that Foamstars gets is ridiculous to me. Splatoon fans hate that game's whole entire existence. If it's not a Nintendo IP, they don't care lol.

Ermm, akshully, Mario Kart 7 is the 9th entry due to the existence of Mario Kart Arcade GP and Mario Kart Arcade GP 2. In between 7 and 8 was Mario Kart Arcade GP DX making 8 the 11th entry in the series. 8 Deluxe is MK12 and Mario Kart Arcade GP VR would be MK13. Tour would akshulky be Mario Kart 14. Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit would be 15 and if we include the Universal Nintendo World attraction Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challange, the next game would be Mario Kart 17. 🤓

It’s unlikely that it will be called MK9. Tour is considered to be the 9th mario kart game by nintendo so the reasonable title for the next mario kart game would be MK10 or MKX
