    Thank you! Having confirmed continuity throughout the machine, with the exception of across the PCB. I followed your rewire instructions and just saved myself £99 to send it to a repairers.

    My hi-lo switch light comes on when pressed but the motor doesn’t change speed and stuck on low. Do you know if this is likely to be a PCB or switch or motor fault?

    • @HenryBags
      @HenryBags  Před 2 lety

      Most likely the switch but it still could be the pcb. Definitely not the motor!

    hi, i have an old full power model henry (before eu legislation). recently i changed the bushes, and the contacts due to the complete failure of the vacuum when i turned it on nothing happened. i fitted the new parts and got lots of noise which sounded like the brushes skipping, but not enough power to vacuum with, and a really bad electrical smell. i have now got a new motor head on it which says "NUMATIC" and had the red led and green switch. is it possible to max out the motor on this replacement head to what my old old was? this one works but suffers from lack of suction compared to the old one. it runs slower, and cleans less.

      Is your new one a 620w?

      @@HenryBags hi, thanks for getting back to me.yes it is. we couldnt afford a new one so someone liberated the top of one from where he worked. our original one was 1200 watts, and this one is 620,which is way less powerful. there was a plastic grid in our original filter between top and base, we had to remove that to get it to fit. it worked well enough to hold your hand without letting go on the plastic pipe end, but put the metal tubes on and a floor head and all the suction is completely gone. i suppose to be fair a 620 watt is going to be weak, and i will most likely have to source a 1200 watts motor from somewhere.

      @@yamahonduki yeh you can’t make the motor more powerful but we have a 620w at home and they aren’t awful. If you have suction on the hose end but not at the floor tool it might be worth checking the tubes and tool for blockages. Also have you cleaned and emptied the filter recently.

      @@HenryBags yes, new bag, clean filter,no blockages in the pipes. its just pretty useless compared to what we had with the 1200 watt motor. i suppose o the upside,with a motor like this one with the reduced suction, at least the bags will go further before needing to be changed due to being full.

      one more quick question. will a standard 1200 watt motor fit straight into a NRV200-11 head unit? that is the head unit i currently have on there with the 620 motor.

    Many people discard their Henry 🎩for something as trivial as a blocked hose... Always check if it is something simple

    Why bother with the LED?
    I mean, you know the thing is on because of the noise it makes!

    • @HenryBags
      @HenryBags  Před 3 lety +3

      Very true. Numatic have them to indicate mains is turned on, found in all bee henrys... not myself that designed this obviously. I do like to use the lights on refurbished ones however... other wise you are left with “the hi low switch isn’t working”
      The repair customers in our ship seem to be grateful if this repair too which is a fraction of the cost of replacing the pcb.
      If it’s for your own personal repair... yeh no need for the light... unless you are very hard of hearing. It just finishes off the job nicely for a very low spend.
