I met KVD at work one day. It was awesome to meet someone who has been my role model since I was knee high to a grasshopper.
Wow, that boat is truly amazing, it's the coolest looking one I've seen yet, the wrap looks awesome, and the new Minn kota is the best out there, the helix 12's are the best out there, your truly blessed man, been a fan since I was a little kid, bring home number five this year man.

Maybe the most polished salesman on the tour. Well done and well explained. I remember when the carbon paper graphs came out and my fathers ranger had Hummingbird flashers front and console with the Lawrance Graph at the console. Man things have changed.Good lick Mr KVD!

Awesome set up. Looking forward to hearing you speak in Indianapolis on the 16th. Something I've done with my Talons for while I'm towing is I have two 6"x6"x1" pieces of composite decking material each with a 3/4" hole recessed in the material about 1/2". I place these under the support pole while the Talons are laying flat on the deck during towing. This distributes the weight of the Talon and the stress to the deck while there may be bounce during towing. The storage covers where my Talon support rods rest are both aluminum and aluminum does not handle stress fatigue very well without eventually cracking. Distribute the weight of the Talon while towing over those 2 6"x6" pads as opposed to just the 3/4" footprint of the support rod.

good for you to make the switch the minn kota, I am sure it wasn't easy to break a business relationship. It was easy to see this past year on the 1000 islands tourny, as you struggled with your motor guide well others were spot locked.

Grats on the new shop it definitely isn't a finish product, but will help with you getting ready for each tourney and has plenty of space for filming videos such as this. I would say that I am surprised that you don't have some rod racks for all or most of your main rods, but you probably store them in the boat anyway. I really like that boat and finally got to see one up close at a BP in North Carolina and it was black and red, and I said, "Well it has KVD colors on it, which is sweet" and for 53-55k that is a bargain in the bass boat world especially vs a Ranger. I definitely like the Mossy Oak Illusions wrap, very slick indeed. I am glad that you finally switched to Minn Kota so you can have all that connectivity from the Johnson Outdoors Products, the Ultrex is a game changer for sure. Good luck this season Kevin.

That ULTREX was just too good to not be running. Motor Guide has a lot of work to do because that ULTREX is leaps and bounds ahead. KVD has been a MG fan for a long time and you know it had to be a game changer if he decided to switch. I would much rather have spot lock than a power pole. Poles are only good in shallow water. KVD is an offshore specialist and that spot lock is gonna help him stay on those schools of small mouth. Love to watch KVD fish off shore. He is the best ever to do it.
I agree, the price of one Power Pole, or one Talon for that matter, would easily cover the cost of the Ultrex and you're done!

Hell yah man with the technology it shows why fisherman of today catch so more and tournament weights are so much higher than 20 or 30 years ago I remember when we had an old eagle depth finder that flashed what depth it was now they show fish live not against it I'm impressed

Good luck!!! We are looking to buy our first Tracker! definitely not our first boat, we are looking at the Pro Team 190TX with 115 or the Pro Guide V 175 SC with the 115...fished through the 80s up to 2006 both glass n aluminum, ProCraft n Polar Kraft, whadda think? Also I want to upgrade the trolling motor to at least 80lb. / 24v, but dealer keeps trying to talk me out of it, you spend more time on the trolling motor then the big motor any day! Opinion please!

Wonder where he sells or auction's off old equipment year after year when replacing with new stuff all the way down to rods/reels etc...? I know boat rigs are always for sale if your lucky enough and can afford to be the lucky buyer when he's done with a season.

What company do you use to rig your boat ... my new one is almost here and my old place that I trusted implicitly went out of business when the owner dies ... it seems that your rigger really was meticulous if you could be so kind as to share

Quick question on that locker bar thingy. I've never heard of it or seen one before and was wondering what those run price wise? Me and my buddy are doing the high school tournament series this year and just last year I had somebody slice the tips of all my rods at a tournament. Don't know if they were mad we won and only fished 1 day prior or what. Maybe a local that was upset? But I'd like to keep everything safe so it doesnt happen again and it looks like an investment I'd be willing to make. Lost $1,000s of dollars of rods and I'm only 15 so I didn't know how to get insurance on our boats. Thanks in advance and nice boat! Tight lines
