Richland One & W.J. Keenan High Celebrate MiLaysia Fulwiley Day

University of South Carolina women’s basketball freshman star MiLaysia Fulwiley, a 2023 graduate of W.J. Keenan High School, returned to her alma mater for a big celebration after her team won their third national championship.
Richland One and W.J. Keenan celebrated MiLaysia Fulwiley Day April 15, 2024. Fulwiley’s family, members of W.J. Keenan’s varsity girls basketball team and Fulwiley’s Gamecock teammate, Raven Johnson, were on hand to help celebrate. During the celebration, Fulwiley received a special proclamation from the Richland One Board of School Commissioners.
Fulwiley received several accolades during her time as a member of W.J. Keenan’s girls basketball team, including being named a Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) All-American; McDonald’s All-American; Naismith (third team) All-American; an All-USA Today team member; a three-time South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association 3A Player of the Year; and a South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association 2A Player of the Year. She finished her high school basketball career as W.J. Keenan’s all-time leading scorer, with over 3,000 career points.
