“Do you believe in goats?”. Always loved Wodehouse.
Each of these stories was delightful but I enjoyed the last story of the confirmed bachelor the most. So fun. And so well read. Tony, you really have a gift.
This story was cursed. It took me over 6 months and about 13 tries to be able to listen to it without being interrupted by my family!!
Still not convinced I didn't miss anything
😂
"Honeysuckle Cottage" was a pure delight! I'm so glad I wasn't listen to this whilst trying to sleep as I would keep rousing myself by laughing. Thank you!
As usual, it's too good to sleep to. Perfect for a rainy, cold grey autumn-like day--in April. Nature can be so fickle. Thanks for giving us a smile.
The last story was absolutely adorable 😅
I'm sick and have been in bed since yesterday evening and that story put a smile on my face. Anything that can do that while I'm having one of my migraines must be truly special. I adored everything about that story, even how it made me feel like a gooey lovey sap 😂
Brilliantly read! I very much enjoyed that. I especially loved the Honeysuckle Cottage; Wodehouse at his finest!
Not sure how much sleep I will get but after 2 weeks of pneumonia and sleepless nights I am enjoying these immensely.
My sympathy, for you!!
Pneumonia is a miserable illness!!
And ,,the only thing to recommend it
~ Is a swift recovery from the darned lurgy!!
I hope that you are feeling better very soon!!
Hate breathing water, I don't care for pretending to be a fish. Had it awhile back. From vapeheads, spewing that pioson. Now' I try avoiding the fog of crackheads. Took months to recover.
The narrator has an excellent voice and it was very enjoyable to listen to him. I also felt that the stories were Well written and interesting. I also like very much,The dark screen as I am listening to this at bedtime. Please keep up the good work.
When ever I have a task, I hate, I listen to you. It makes it go so much quicker. Sometimes, I really wish I could do like P. G Wodehouse's characters and move in to the Dorchester! Instead, I live in a rabbit warren and it must be tidy up. Cee from the little haunted cottage in ireland 💚💚💚🍀🍀🍀
Okay, so I confess that I fell asleep in the middle of the first story, and woke up when dawn hit in the middle of the last story, so now of course, I have to replay them so I can actually enjoy the stories. But geez, I just knew the final one just had to be at least inspired by P.G. Wodehouse - a favourite author from my youth when the Jeeves and Wooster television series came out. I bought every book of his I could find and then do tater them to my local library once read, so others could enjoy them as much as I did.

I couldn't get the description box to open until just now because the hashtag in the title kept getting activated instead. But now I just saw these markers are also in the description box.
Nice reading! Thank you.
Thank you, nice person.
As I used to get frustrated until I figured this out, I thought I’d see if my “relief” might assist you as well. If tap anywhere besides the area of the #link, the Title box area will open the Description Box, so you CAN get to it other than pressing the “more…” text. The “more…” text gets too close to the #link font & the click area is very persnickety! I hope my suggestion works for you too. I really enjoy having access to the extra details & the SHOW TRANSCRIPT button too. ⚛️
@@evelanpatton thank you! It was nice of you to take the time to write this out.
TY for the black screen. I loved this grouping of stories.
I agree with the black screen idea. Thank you so much.
The first story of the ghost ship was absolutely delightful! I so wish I could see her. Better yet, I would like to taste her rum.👻
Somebody is going to comment that you shouldn’t be trying to make them laugh when they’re trying to get a wink lol
We will look out for that comment . It will appear
I started listening to the Hollows End Jordan Grupe stuff; I laughed out loud, but heck, it was worth it 😂
Others would say that's what they searched for 😂
So glad you showed up when looking for horror comedy narrations. Thank you. I've heard a few and crave it now.
What a beautiful reading voice you have
Thank you :)
Tony, you have a wonderful voice to relax & fall to sleep to. That’s a compliment 😂 You are not boring.
So Glad I got home early from work. I just found this "notice" I've got my drink and am settled in for some Awesome stories!!! Yeah 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
One of my fave compilations.
Yes! Love the Black screen it helps alot to not see the flashing from the screen ❤
That was incredible! I love these longer compilations. You are absolutely fantastic when you perform each of the characters in different but perfect accents. These stories were different, unique, charming and yes have their humorous moments. 😉❤️
I think that most of the free horror movies are crap I now find the audio stories more enjoyable. Thanks for the download. 😊👏👏👏🌟
Honeysuckle cottage had me CACKLING. Poor guy lmao, hope he recovered and cherished dear William for the rest of his days.
I loved the first story. My new favorite story, really.
me too - I really wanted to get to know John Simmons better! because of the voice and have to say the humourous story. Looked up the author and he wasn't a very light hearted chap apparently though you'd never know it!
Masterful, Tony, also this time around. Thank you!!!
Ditto this time around!!!!! Thank you!!!!
Alack! Poor James. 😂
Great, as always!
I must say I love your voice.
Have you heard of Agatha Christie's "Personal Call"?
It is both a ghost story and a mystery, you might like it.
I love your voice!!! Please read more humorous ghost stories!!! Please. 😊
Oh wow! Awesome Tony! Thank you so much!
Great narration as always, Tony! I absolutely love Middleton’s The Ghost Ship and I listen to it often. Such a wonderful sense of humor for the man to be so depressed that he committed suicide 😢
I was thinking of hi. yesterday as we drove along the Brighton Road
Thanks for Black Screen!
Thank you for the black screen
Love these SO MUCH!! THE voices!!! YOU ARE BRILLIANT
You really are a marvellous storyteller , I enjoy the fact that you don’t rush sentences but speak in a relaxed natural manner. Thank you very much, I loved the first story best. 🏴☠️
Sometimes i have to deliberately slow down. but thank you
Listening to this in work. Hope I don't fall asleep!
That would be funny
ditto, ditto, ditttttto, just as enjoyable this time as alwaysThank you!
Oh Tony, I could listen to you tell the New York City telephone book! Absolutely fabulous! This is as far as I'm thinking, your best reading ever! Thank you Thank you!
Marvelous! Too good to waste sleeping. Very enjoyable. Thank you, Tony!
😊 thanks for your work and the black screen
Delightful
Love these stories! And your telling is absolutely perfect!
Excellent narrator! And I've never heard these before. Good choice of stories.
Ya y! Backstreet! Woo-hoo!
Loved these stories and your reading is superb!
Thank you so much!
These are fantastic 😂 I appreciate the longer videos
Excellent 😂

Happy New Year to You and Yours,🎉

Andréa and Critters. ...XxX....
No siesta for me! Thanks so much, I love this!
Interesting thumbnail. It reminds me of an old inn or farm from the Peak District when I visited there regularly back in the 1970s and 80s.
+JasonJason210 who knows where it is :)
@@ClassicGhost I'd love to add it to my collection. I'm planning on printing some of these out and mounting them in my library. Any possibility of a link to a high-res version?
The story about the author and his aunts haunted house, actually made me giggle... 👍
Ooooh thank you soo much🤩🤩 Perfect🥳
Simply wonderful narration again ! I am on my second listening as i enjoyed your reading so much..😂
Excellent voice. Ty.
I do listen at bedtime on occasion. But only because I
can listen again when awake.
Your readings are too good to
miss! Also, lovely to have some stories that are a bit light hearted. Just the ticket for when the world seems extra weary. Thanks.
Wonderful!
Love your work tony!! I want to bring your attention to the were wolf by clemence Housman. I've heard it referred to as the Dracula for werewolf stories.
Thank you. I know of the story but I haven’t read it. Worth Lloegr considering
Great stories! 😊
Thanks!
Sorry I didn't thank you immediately. Thank you very much!
Unbelievable! Your voice is awesome. Heard a fourth of the first story and something woke me up 1.5 hours later. Now i have to try and listen again.
The honeysuckle cottage was hilarious!
That’s what it’s intended to do . You may never hear the end of it works well :)
I only heard about a quarter of the first story so far. I'll have start from the beginning later, but I'm currently laughing at the tricks of book shop owners to avoid sales.
Thank you
Excellent! ❤
Good one, Tony! I fell asleep twice whilst listening. Two good kips. Thank you.
Excellent!
Just found your channel and I'm here to stay. You've got a new fan and subscriber from Penang Island, Malaysia.
Goodnight from here and thank you for aiding in my sleep. 🙏🏾
Penang island !
I can’t get over how SOOTHING and animated you are. I’m enjoying you soooo much. Thank you ❤
+Sho my mission is to soothe
:)
Thank you ,I love ghost Stories ❤
Glad you enjoyed them
@@ClassicGhost as so many have said before your voice is so soothing! A true gift you have for telling stories.
❤❤❤
😂😂 Can you go back 1000 candle power screen. I listen to your stories to stay awake .
Listening to stories goes halfway and back between the states of staying awake and dreaming. And this not at the speed of light. In other words, I adore the black screen to this purpose.
@@agnieszkaswietlik5322me too. I put this on to go to sleep to. 🤦♀️😂
An excellent selection of stories, beautifully read! Being a huge fan of P. G. Wodehouse, I especially liked the last story. I think his Mulliner stories may be my favorite after the Jeeves and Wooster ones, although the Blandings Castle stories are awfully good, too. I'm very glad to have found your videos and I'm subscribing immediately
Love Blandings
Enjoyed this so have subscribed.
Such fun! Your reading was absolutely perfect.
Glad you enjoyed it!
William the dog and my cats have the same job 😂
Excellent storytelling! I'm glad YT recommended you, I'm now subbed ❤
Glad it did too!
Thanks Tony "Pup-Daddy", Walker.
I said it before, you rock.
Happy Ostara!
Blessed be again.
I'm hunkering down in the most savage harvest time I can remember!

Most amusing and entertaining, thank you! 😄
All the comments I have read are intended to compliment Tony on his voice, and he certainly delete deserves all the compliments he can get was effective narrative skills , if it says Tony you have a wonderful voice to fall asleep to. many times when I doze off or people are talking to me they do not take my action as a compliment .
No. I have learned to love
it though
Very grateful for this! Sounds great!
My pleasure!
I love ghost stories since I was a child the story my mama told about haunted place in forgot the name but it was in Scotland
I’ll be on siesta until “Unreal City” returns Tony….No offense mate, cheers 🍻
Ok Tony work your magic I need sleep😅
THE LOST TRAGEDY Can you tell me anything about the author of this story and when the story first appeared ?
the Lost Tragedy by Dennis McHale is a really great story I had never heard of before . the ending took me completely by surprise. I love it. Can you tell me anything about the author- is there a book I can get that has the story in it?
👍
If anyone has read up on pirates for any length of time, you know the name Bartholomew Roberts.
That's the taken name of famed pirate, Black Bart.
Some of your listeners (including me) enjoy seeing the picture while listening. The listeners who want a black screen can lay a piece of cardboard on their phone. That way, we can all have our needs and desires met. Please put the picture back. Thank you.
I know I have never run across the channel before but the narrators voice is so ridiculously familiar, particularly when he voiced the Landlord in the first story. I just can’t place where I might have heard it, but I feel like it might have been some sort of video game or media…. Either way, it’s brilliant and I’m going back to listening now.
2nd story: Aziraphael? Is that you?
I dont know where you might have heard me if not here or on The podcast version?
I still haven’t figured it out as of this morning but I’m definitely off to check out your podcast now!
@@ClassicGhost it just occurred to me to ask if you’ve done any work on Audible? Terry Pratchett comes to mind for completely no reason. If not, I’d like to bet that you would make an amazing piece out of any“ Discworld” novel.
@@BlindIo0374 id love to get the gig for discworld but I think it’s sewn up by big names
😆🤣😆
Hi 😂
New Sub here🤗
Welcome!!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Who is the narrator? love his voice
Me !
@@ClassicGhost well I enjoy it very much!
Glad you do :)
Well, they're certainly designed to put one to sleep. A.fter the first 3 stories and having found precious little humor in any of them I fell asleep. I must have been expecting too much I guess as I'm used to humor such as The Canterville Ghost or...the title escapes me but it has to do with a ghost seized by a mortal prepared for the situation having previously eaten several cloves of garlic so when the ghost would blow icy wind into the man's face the man would blow his strong garlic breath right back into the shade's face.
How can you stop after the end? You fall a sleep, but then wake up because youtube keeps on playing stuff.
Tap the screen to get the settings buttons, top right hand side. You should see a play / pause slider. That turns Autoplay on or off.
@@Canalcoholic Thank you so much.
TS 10:12🎼🎶🎼🎶🎼
Great stories, could you do even longer ones or more if possible . I really like playing for 3 to 4 hours, it does not matter if they are long stories or several. Thankyou 🇨🇦🇨🇦
Have a look at my Sleep Stories playlist. There are a number there which are hours long.
Yes you are absolutely right, I never notice that the last story was more than a hour long. I like to listen to the stories while I am doing house work as well as preparing food. Then I listen to them again while I am trying to relax.
A boy' & his dog' minus the canibalism.. And few other details.

Benedict Cumberbatch reading??? Distinctly
Nope. Nothing like him.
The captioned title is spelled correctly, while the title slide isn't. The spelling is "humorous" everywhere, including the UK.
You are right.
Love the ghost, storys. Podcast !. Not so much. You do waffle on. Sorry. 😮🤪😳😞
but I don’t do any commentary in these long compilations. That’s why I do them for the people who don’t like what I say.
You can't win🤷
