- The film discusses the concept of time zones, international date lines, and celestial navigation. It explains how the Earth is divided into 24 time zones, each 15 degrees wide, based on the 24-hour day and the Earth's 360-degree circumference. The film illustrates how time zones are designated by plus and minus in longitude, with each zone keeping time based on its central meridian. It also explains how crossing time zones affects the date, especially near the International Date Line. Additionally, it delves into celestial navigation, apparent vs. mean sun, and the equation of time in determining Greenwich hour angles.

I thought I understood time, now I'm confused
Do you know where part 1 is?
Likewise. Glad there's not a part 3. Don't get me wrong, I understood bits and pieces, but how it was explained is poor.
The sun just hovers above planet Earth, because Earth is flat and is the center of the Universe.
