The fact he met Charles as a child and lived long enough to see the same child be coronated as an old man at the age of 74 is mind blowing
So how old is Sir David now that King Charles is 74?
96
he will be 97 in two days
Sir David Attenborough is a living legend,
Yes. Totally. đđđčđčđč
"...70 years ago I was a young..." If you can say these words, you're blessed indeed.
Its absolutely incredible how active and well spoken he still is at his age!
I just love this man. Devoted his whole life to this planet and the animals in it. You can't say a bad thing about him.
i agree, and personally would much rather celebrate this man than any monarch these days. David is a true national treasure, hell international treasure
he ever shack up with jane?
He is a puppet and an actor, why has he got knighthood ? Follows orders from his masters! Do not trust!
Thank you David Attenborough

Sir David is a national treasure. Love his work, truly a remarkable man.â€đȘđŒ
He'll be 97 on Monday. Amazing!
This man is a gem! His whole life spent spreading knowledge and trying to save our planet!
He looks great for his age much better than people 20 years younger than him
@@lmusima3275Spot on! he's at least 30 years sharper than most 90+ year olds.
Saving the planet by removing species from their natural habitat.
Remarkable man for 98. People with a vital interest in life and people tend to go on for a long time. My own grandfather was the same. Always appeared younger than he was.
I think he'll be 97 in a day or two, sure he'll make 98 too though
97 tomorrow

Not really, its just genes. But if that makes you feel happy go ahead.
â@scholaroftheworldalternatehist although keeping busy is definitely good for the mind and body
As an American teen in the 80's --- I would be quite lost in fascination watching Sir David's nature specials --- they were very well done!
They never get old never will
Sir David Attenboroughâs mind is sharper than Bidenâs thatâs for sure. 96 and still going strong while Biden is 80 and doesnât even know where he is most of the time.
My first exposure to his nature documentaries was on the big screen and the big amphitheater lecture Hall in the biology building in my first year university biology animal biology course. I was mesmerized literally transfixed watching those shows he with his fkoppt messy hair coming from all corners of the globe in the most remote and most beautiful places on earth. I could not believe the photography. I couldn't understand how they could possibly capture these shots of these different species. To this day they still resonate with me. He is truly brilliant and truly amazing and still go on strong at what 97 something like that. God bless him. He is an inspiration

I love David Attenborough to bit's
I will remember this nice voice. I remember Sir David Attenborough since 40 years when I have seen a lot of films about animals. Regards from Poland...
The King was indeed mocked for his environmental interests and concerns back in the 80s and 90s, but he made me a lifelong admirer for his courage in being willing to stand up for issues that are now realized as critically important to our very survival on this planet. God Save The King!
And thatâs why heâs driven around in Range rovers to help save the environment while telling the public what to do. Such a great person to admireâŠ

Agreed
He aged like wine, very well learned, and has stories to tell. He is animated. And that makes him a wonderful person to listen to
Plus letâs not forget his work trained him to do this. We are far from being eloquent like him đ«Ą
Sir David comes from an era in which people had common sense. They read books đ studied facts, spoke with real people without distractions from the nonsense TikTok social media
Im not a fan of Charles. But as soon as Sir David says he is a good man. Im convinced
He is the most clear and alive 96 year old that I ever saw. I think it is the open-mind and the "can't stop working".
Betrand Russell was the same, he lived to 99 and never lost his quick wit.
David talks very well for someone in his late 90s. Still sounds like he did when I watched his documentaries years back
That voice đđ
A true gentleman. I could listen to his stories all day
I was a 6 year old in 1953 and remember well the influx of neighbours into our living room to watch the Coronation on our tiny black and white television.
Me too Wecwere only 1 of 2 sets in the village the excitement was fantastic and the festivities all.over the country in celebration

A national day of celebration. A continuation of 1000 years of history. If you are not proud to be in a country that has a history unequalled by any other nation then there is something wrong with you. And to those who would protest against The King on this day of all days, for once just keep your opinions to yourself. No one really cares what you think or have to say. You are insignificant in the grand scheme of things. God Save The King. đđŹđ§đŹđ§đŹđ§

An idol of mine
His days as a television producer resulted in not only his amazing body of work, but he is also directly responsible for giving us Monty Python.
Can you double knight someone? Like, he should be Sir Sir David Attenborough, right?

Nobel Prize for Sir Attenborough
Honestly, the fact that a Nobel was handed to someone like Obama, a war monger, for doing precisely the opposite of what his award was for, but that this man has never received one for actually dedicating his life to worthy endeavors....it's absurd. And it makes that "prize" as meaningful as a Cracker Jack toy.

A wonderful man and a National Treasure.
Sir David Attenborough is a wonderful human being.
This is the BBC I know and love, with Sir David Attenborough, one of the few talented people left working at the BBC who genuinely loves narrating stories about wildlife in the natural world, without using divisive woke politics, like so many in the BBC today which has ruined the BBC and destroyed its credibility.

@@ParisianWeetabix Perhaps, but I believe that the monarchy, while archaic does represent a level of continuity that other countries lack.
@@davidcobb464 What exactly is "a level of continuity which other countries lack" in a practical sense? What, practically, does it do? Because the only thing I can see is that it equips monarchists with something to say in defense of the monarchy which sounds vaguely profound but is actually meaningless.
@@LOLERXP Continuity is avoiding the whims of the crowd, which is almost always shortsighted and often wrong.
@@davidcobb464 Aha. And you are seriously claiming that this happens in democracies without a king, but not in Britain, because of the monarchy. That's hilarious.

We realized a while ago that without all the camera people who sit for hours on end to get the right setting before he turns up.
It's the behind the scenes people that do the work while he gets the kudos.
