😍 He is hot & hilarious 😍 Tom Hardy
Bronson is a 2008 British biographical crime film directed by Nicolas Winding Refn, based on a script written by Refn and Brock Norman Brock. The film stars Tom Hardy as Michael Peterson, known from 1987 as Charles Bronson. The film follows the life of this prisoner, considered Britain's most violent criminal, who has been responsible for a dozen or so cases of hostage taking while incarcerated. He was given the name Charles Bronson by his fight promoter, for his bare-knuckle fighting years.

This man is just a brilliant actor. He really stands out , especially in the current world of cardboard cutout actors.
Remember first seeing his baby face with a deer in headlights look in Layer Cake. He's really worked hard to get where he is, really talented bloke in many ways, really enjoy his films.
he's a brilliant person, he's honest
Are you kidding? He acts the same in every role he pretty wooden imo bronson is probly the only role he's done that stands out
Jamaican/ Irish/ posh/road man accent all in 1.. ffs😂

very talented actor. According to polls of British viewers, Tom was recognized as the best British male actor of the 21ST CENTURY. Connery is in second place, Hopkins is in third. only 10 places. The information is publicly available.❤❤❤

Anyone else struck at how good Tom is at describing the prison and going to visit Charlie? He's describing it like an author would in a good novel.
He's definitely got a writer's sensibility, no denying that.
Literally.
Guess he was perfectly cast as Eddie Brock in that regard
all the great actors are like that - brad pitt would blow your mind how they describe the work - its like talking a philosipher crossed with charles dickens lol
Yes I noted he articulates his accounts amazingly well, what a great interview alot more detail too I to their own filming process than most actors interviews clearly he loves what he does, loved his descriptions kept me glued
Bronson telling Tom sometimes you have to cut a little piece of yourself off in order to grow was really insightful.. I’m sure anyone dealing with mental health issues or addiction can relate.. The movie was awesome, Bronson has an amazing story and Tom is a great actor.
*Charlie Bronson says,* "Tom (Do you remember the floods... tells the story... that wouldn't have happened to me), 'cause I would've said, CUT IT OFF NOW! *Sometimes you gotta cut a little piece of yourself off,* yeah, *no matter how much it hurts, in order to grow. Yeah? In order to move on. You know what I mean?"* > _This is a beautiful way to live. It ends _*_your own personal suffering_*_ against those who've wronged you._
None of this matters if you have mental health or addiction issues. *This way of life APPLIES TO EVERYONE.*
I really wanted to type this phonetically so we could all read it in Charlie Bronson's voice. I did not because I have had to rewrite things before. heeheeheee.

This is actually Priceless. You won't find a more genuine, authentic interview from a actor.
Watch Marlon Brandos interview on Dick Cavett show. Now that's an authentic interview. Tom is nearly there.

Genuine and authentic are tools of the trade for an actor....its ironic that's what you walked away with...ponder that for a moment and you will soon realise you've been had.
Tom Hardy is a living legend. The man can play anything and does so with a level of crazy commitment which should terrify any therapist. Then, he’s a decent bloke after it all. The man is a true Brando.
Toms talent is unreal! As diverse as it gets from a cockney, psycho prisoner and cockney gangsta to a moonshining hill-billy with the deep south kinda accent and then in warrior! What he does n how he switched it up is unreal! Pure raw talent! Or, and British!💪
@SEMTEX J Tom n Paul Anderson 🔥
Even the small part he had in Black Hawk Down he nailed. I don't know what specific regimen Tom had when he prepared for the role but it's fairly obvious how seriously he takes his job.
He is also in band of brothers
Like watching him channeling in and out of Charlie in this interview
Gaz B Man you mentioned all three of my favorite things that he's in!
Perfect casting, no-one else could have played this role, or dealt with Charlie's fearsomely strong personality on his own level. Charlie would just see straight though any other Holly pretender not upto scratch. Ton Hardy's the one actor who knows hows to deal with Charlie with respect without being scared of him. Fantastic film, and I'm a ex-prisoner who has read the book, a great read even if you've seen movie. Film is a great rendition, Nicholas Winding Refen is one of my favourite directors, brilliant! 👍👌🇬🇧
To be fair, Hardy is not exactly a "Hollywood actor", not in the true sense of the word, same as with Idris Elba, btw (or Ozzy actors, for that matter).
Bc, I don't care if they would work exclusively in the US/Hollywood for the rest of their lives, I'll *always* see them as UK actors, some of UK's very best, who just happened to work overseas.
In the end, it's their mentality, shaped by growing up in Britain, having deep-rooted, proper British values, which essentially will always be a distinct contrast with, and set them apart from the Holly clique... (Just my personal opinion, oc.)
PS: Such a turn-off to hear Idris speak with an American accent, it's unnatural, LOL!
he is 30 here. Now at age 45 he looks better and better. Really aged like wine. Great actor also

Tom Hardy is the closest thing Britan has ever had to Marlon Brando, even as far as resembling a young Brando.

On the one hand, I think he is too good an actor, too diverse in his range, too hungry for challenges to play one rather one dimensional role for a few films.

I live in Wakefield. On the road just outside Wakefield prison there is a big advertising bill board and at the time of the release of the Bronson movie the poster for the film was plastered up on the board for several weeks. Whenever I drove past I always wondered if anyone told Charlie that his movie poster was up just outside the walls of the prison-sure it would have given him a laugh.

A Little Piece of Heaven, Edward Thomas Hardy. love you Tommy.❤
This man truly does give his all what ever role he's playing imagine landing this role and playing such an interesting character, reading the script then getting to the part where the officers are going to rush in to Charlie's cell and jump on him and realising that you have to do the scene totally stark bollock naked! not just a quick flash but naked for at least 5 minutes you realise that not only do you have to do it in front of all the crew but in front of millions and because it's being filmed will be watched for years and years to come as much as I would love to play the part I don't think I am brave enough to do that so for him to do that shows just how brave and committed he is to his art.... no one could have done a better job than him he owned it!!!!👌👌👏👏👏👏👏
Watching Tom talk. Is like watching 15 different caricatures all at once. Must be hard on his mental health

Bashed a few people 😂
Well said
He's been inside for so long and in solitary confinement i don't think he could survive it he couldn't handle it being inside that long getting out of that environment his whole senses would be overloaded
Just watched the movie and came here to see this. I think I know why Bronson knew Tom would do a good job. Maybe that handshake was a test to see if Tom would be respectful enough of him as person to shake his hand despite all the bad stuff people say about him, but the real deal breaker for Bronson's certainty must have been how much respect and attention Tom has for him as a human being.
Tom talking about being ashamed in front of Charlie is a big tell about how insecure he is in his ability to do a worthy portrayal of him. He doesn't take it for granted just because he is already famous and recognised, he wants to do his best so that the result can be something he could be proud of, and I think Charlie could see that in the way Tom treated him during their calls and personal talks.
I'm convinced Tom Hardy is a little bit crazy.
Classic Hardy. Thanks for putting this up!

What a story teller!! Amazing!!
Him talking about voice work reminds me of Daniel Day Lewis
Dont know its been said already it probably has but i think tom hardy would make a top 007
100%!!
Tom's a complex character, I can see why bronson chose him to play him on screen, great character actor, but I do think I could of been filmed better, directing could of been slot better, didn't feel after watching it like the director done bronsons story justice, brilliant acting by Hardy though amazing performance.
He uses that line in legend
What a versatile actor in all his roles
wtf is with his accent? One second public school, next moment roadman county-lines...
He didnt even sound British at one point
He was doing bronsons accent half the interview
Yeah it pisses me of I’m a real Cockney Londoner you don’t jump in and out of our cockney accent Tom ffs it’s just fucking annoying.
Not even sometimes completely Eastern Europe
its just years of doing accents. A lot of actors dialect changes when they spend so much time playing various different parts; which is why you get those weird American distortions in his voice now and again.
“Tom hardy? Bill Sykes, what a part”
Thanks! Came to comments looking for what the hell he'd said before "what a part" 😁

I fucking well hope tom is the next james bond there is no one else that could fit bond like tom he's just to good!
They will definitely make the next bond Black or a woman
Henry Cavill captures the charisma and comedy of the original bonds (Connery and Moore) - you only have to look at his role in U.N.C.L.E and switch his accent back to normal to see he's the best candidate around.
Tom is phenomenal. But I just don’t see him as Bond . He’s too good to be Bond . Almost as if his talent as an actor surpasses the role . Same with Idris Elba . Henry Cavill should be Bond
Hands down the best scene is the start of the Rampton Hospital disco. Hilarious. Tom is great also.
I remember during Blackhawk Down, seeing this good looking little actor, (he couldn't have been but 5'7" 170lbs, and I thought he too good looking to play soc Twombly. And I laugh now because never in a MILLION YEARS would I have thought that kid could ever play Bane, or Charlie Bronson, or a monster ass-beater in with building-sized traps in "Warrior" .. But holy crap did he nail those parts. I guess that proves Tom Hardy was always a great actor.
I liked the Bronson movie, and even bought it. I’m American, and I didn’t know about Charles Bronson. I had to watch a documentary about Bronson to get a deeper understanding of him. I was very impressed with the documentary. I didn’t know how much damage he did at Broadmoor hospital or that he never killed anyone, he just beat up people. I actually hope they give the real Charles Bronson a second chance because as much as he has gone through and his life story, he should have another chance. Thanks to everybody who decided to do a movie on him, interviewing him, and thanks to Tom Hardy for doing a great job playing Bronson. However, there is a prisoner I’ve recently heard about who deserves to have their story made into a movie. I heard of a man named Robert Maudsley. I watched a CZcams show about him, and I was shocked, angry, and heartbroken. His story is so sad, and he is another person who’s story needs to be known as well.
An interesting interview with usually guarded Tom Hardy. You never see him this open on the process of his style, interesting to hear him talk about fucking up his body to get into Bronson shape. I can imagine not easy having to drop that weight after you finish the role (he then went on to do Warrior and Dark Knight Rises and gained it again). His bit with Bronson on the phone was funny.
Fascinante!! Amo ver sus interpretaciones 👌👌👌
