You don’t need to update the driver but that is ok. Hdmi cable coming from the laptop is supposed to go to hdmi in on your dell optiflex and press the hidden button then project your laptop screen

I am not sure what cables or adapters I need and the button on the bottom of each does not change input. They both do nothing and both computers are less than 2 years old.
@@TechGeniusHacks When I turn it off and back on, it tries to act like a computer again and I have to press the input button to make it take HDMI. I really would like it to just stay HDMI (I took the hard drive out of it)

How to set IdeaCentre AIO 520-24IKU to be a monitor for a laptop using HDMI in? Turn off both your AIO 510-231SH and laptop. Plug in the HDMI cable to HDMI in port then to your laptop. Turn on your laptop first then your AIO 520-24IKU. Wait a minute and it eventually shows the laptop screen on the AIO.

the bad thing is you can't adjust luminosity.... when you are using as a second screen ... or i didn't find a way :(

That is not possible. Those are for the computer side of the desktop. It is not going to let you use them.

You don’t need to turn it on or off windows. Turn it on first then click the small button to switch the input to hdmi.
