- The junkyard has couple more classics up for sale including this 1969 Chevy Impala. Not often you see these in the yards these days and when you do it's usually a 4 door model. This one being a 2 door should garner more interest if the price is right. She was mostly all there and appeared to be another one of those unfinished projects that ultimately was sent to the yard. A shame as whoever sold it to the yard could have gotten easily more than they got. Judging by the wire wheels and the auto body supplies in the trunk, I'd say this was someone's lowrider work in progress. My guess is that it'll will eventually sell after they lower the price some.
That is a $1,000 car at most.
I Agree ,too much work it will need ,wonder if it even has a title for it ?
That things screaming. RESTORE ME!!!
Always liked this series of impala / caprice / biscayne. A friend of mine in high school inherited his grandmothers ‘69 impala with only 15k miles on it, everything about it was like new and it was like a time capsule. I used to work on it for him and all of the parts under the hood were original GM. Very nice driving car, but stopping it with 4 manual drum brakes, I dunno…
I like the Ford !
Video on that one coming up soon
👍👍👍👍
super nice save it both the Ford ltd as well
I am sure by now they both ended up in yard parted out ,since they could not get the ridiculous money junk yard was wanting , sold what parts they could ,then took both to crusher
Impala bringing the 💰💰💰🇺🇸
I agree , but they are wanting way too much for all the Rust it has and condition it's in ,even though it's a 2 door classic
@@chrismarkes5488 after watching it again,I agree,$600 cash
Needs to be donated to the local DISD
Worth saving, even that 71 Ferd is worth saving. Not many left of either, once they're gone it's over. Thanks Benny for the tag-a-long.
Once gone. You are right about that. That is why I really those people and their satanic derbies
Gimme that LTD
Video coming on that one as well
@@ClassicRideSociety Ahh yeah boy!!
LTD yup that's a hard pass.
A project car...
They are asking way to much for that rust bucket.
I totally agree ,just because it's a 2 door does not mean it's worth what they are asking , could not even part it out and get more than $1000 as much rust it has , they should just sell it whatever some one will pay for it since it is a classic ,to see it back on road again without sinking too much money into it
@@chrismarkes5488 Yes sir it is getting way out of hand.👍
I would save both of them 🇺🇲northern calif
👍
It will end up out in the yard.
If it was a bucket/console car and not rusted out I could maybe see $4500 but a column shift rotted out 2 dr ? Com on man !!!!!!
Junk yard will or has finally realized no one will pay $4300 for that hunk of junk rusted out car and probably had put it out in yard to part it out ,and whatever else was left went rest of car to crusher by now
At that price ? Nope , just put it in the yard for parts
I agree ,they might get $1000 at most in parts alone ,before going to crusher
Barf!
A 69 Impala definitely deserve to be a restored project if it was my car go back to blue white interior either Cragers or Chevy rally s.
It does deserve to be restored ,but no one will pay $4300 for a very rusted out car ,with no telling what else was wrong with it,or if it had a good title or not ,and even if all numbers are matching it certainly was not worth thaf
Whoa Nelley, a "deer" and the end is near. Rough, rough, rough, rough, rough. It's going to take a lot to get that rolling again. There are a lot of hidden sins under that primer. I'm assuming the Motorcrap heap next to it is the next video. LOL. I'm going to guess maybe that's got the sloppy 400 in it, or did at one time.
We got the VIN, we win: 1 for Chevrolet, 64 for Impala V8, 47 for door two Custom Coupe, five passenger, 9 for 1969 model year, L for Van Nuys, CA assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The Van Nuys plant was one of the "Terrible Three" of the GM system with poor quality, and it was not missed by GM management when it closed in 1992 after the last 3rd generation F body cars rolled off the line.
We got the tag, we can brag: ST69 for 1969 model year, 16447 for Chevrolet (1) Impala (64) two door Custom Coupe (47) five passenger, VN for Van Nuys, CA assembly, 844 for Turquoise interior trim, 55 for Azure Turquoise lower exterior paint and 50 for Dove White upper exterior paint and 03C for the third week of March 1969 production.
Whoa Nelley, assembled in CA and going away. That's it, time to quit. 1969 and used to be fine. Custom Coupe went for a loop. Two-tone needs to be thrown a bone. B body looking very shoddy. Made during the Presidential tenure of "Tricky Dickie" and this one has way too many hickies. That's it, time to quit. Going to be flat and that's that. GM division 1 is just about done. Possibly going to get squished and the B body faithful, many here, Benny for sure and yes, the Google Man are going to be very, very, very, very, very pissed.
And there's no warranty on this particular vehicle 🙃
@@garymckee8857 It's guaranteed to be a heap. LOL.
@@googleusergp 327?
@@taur86466 As far as?
@@googleusergp you didn't decode the motor like usual.I'm assuming its a 327 is all Mr. Google.
Benny, please do the Ford...thanks
Video will be coming up on that one as well
I had two of them one Belair and one caprice coupe. Should have kept both of them I was young dumb.
Definitely would look good restored. Thanks for showing brother.👍✌️
So true!
Yes it would look really good restored ,but the amount of money to not only replace all the rusted out places ,like the trunk and floor pans ,and no telling where else , one must think hard if it is worth the money ,assuming frame is not rusted out
Or just part it out
What an excellent paint job 🙃
What do you mean no warranty 🙂
Someone may want it but who knows?
Lots of work, but excellent starter project!
$ 4000 to much
Way too rough for the asking price. Maybe half that amount - maybe? I always loved the '68 full sized Chevy, but IMO they ruined them with the bloated '69's. Same with the Camaros. The '67/'68's were beautiful, the '69's looked like bloated pigs. Don't know why they are so popular. Ugh.
Not in that condition
This is about a couple of years worth of work, just to make roadworthy. On the other hand, I like this bodystyle...😬😁
Benny and the jets you mean 400 dollars lol
I like that 69 Impala Benny, I hope somebody gets it and fixes it up.
I agree ,but no one will want to pay the amount the junk yard is asking , way too rusty , don't know if it even runs or not , hate to see it get crushed but the junk yard is wanting way too much for it , doubt any one can get even parts for it
4g for that Impala is a bit much. Lot of rust & whoever had her threw up their hands and said as you did! "To rich for their blood too!" Lol
Junk yard won't even get 4 G for the Impala once it's crushed , they should sell it for as much as they can get out of it before it does gets crushed
Mr. B. ! Depend on how far rust goes ! 🛠️🧰🛠️🧰🔧🧰🔧
I agree, more rust ,more money it will cost to replace ,especially the frame
Parts car and a poor one too
Very True
Way too high. A 69 two door in the same shape sold here locally this year for 1,200 bucks after it sat on the corner for a month at 1,500
Plus this car ths junk yard is trying to sell, no one knows if it even has a title or not ,or if it even runs , I am guessing that who ever sold it to junk yard decided to give up on it because had too many issues ,not sure why they did not put it on market place before letting junk yard have it , probably only got maybe $150 at most
Hopefully someone restores it I find it odd the alternator is mounted on the left side usually on Chevys they are on the right with the AC on the left
Makes me wonder if the engine is out of a different type of car and not the original
These old cars are getting more expensive because people keep sending good ones to the crusher! If there were more left, they would be cheaper. STOP JUNKING CLASSIC CARS!!!
That car ain't worth anywhere near 4200 dollars. Somebody is smoking serious crack. I'd give two grand absolute tops and that's being generous. It's just an Impala, not a Chevelle 😅
I agree ,no one in their right mind would pay that kind of money
@@chrismarkes5488 no way, not for an Impala. They can be cool cars but it's not a Chevelle, Monte Carlo or Camaro. They just aren't worth all that much.
4,200? To much
Definitely not worth 4 grand
No it is not , I can see maybe $700 ,depending how rusty bottom is
Ive seen cars go to the crusher in better condition LOL
