- The plaintiff says the defendant is her brother and he has an ex-girlfriend who constantly causes chaos in his life. She says her brother borrowed her car and his ex saw him with another woman and vandalized the vehicle. She’s suing her brother for the repair costs. The defendant admits he was seeing two women at once, but he says his sister should be suing his ex-girlfriend, not him.

A big lesson to all. When you are in custody of someone's property, the onus is on you to protect that property. You are liable if same property is damaged or stolen while in your custody.
