    Most people think of bright olive green when they think of boba but when you watch empire strikes back the black series helmet is accurate. On film he looks like a shade of greenish grey. That is why the 70s toys had painted their boba figures with just grey heads.

    • @StarWarsCollected
      @StarWarsCollected  Před 2 lety +1

      I definitely think of him as olive when I think of him in ESB and even more in RoTJ. Watching the most recent Boba Fett documentary I think Joe Johnston talks briefly about the colors. Without looking at the original prop it’s sort of hard to say I guess.
      That being said, my AT-AT pilot helmet is light gray as is accurate, not white as they appeared on film in ESB.

    Nice review of this Mando helmet. I started laughing when you called out the “boing”. Thanks for dropping this review very useful before buying.

      Hard to say, those flashback scenes are rather dim/hazy isn't it?

  • @virronic1531
    @virronic1531 Před 2 lety +2

    The reforged helmet coming out isn’t the Book Of Boba Fett, it’s still based off of The Mandalorian show when he repainted his armor.
    The Book of Boba Fett helmet has a big scratch down the right side over the eye so I’ve been torn on if I want to buy the reforged version or wait to see if they make another based off his show because The Book Of Boba Fett helmet looks better with the additional scratches added to it.

    • @StarWarsCollected
      @StarWarsCollected  Před 2 lety

      That is a tough call. When I said BoBF, I was thinking the reforged version, and as it appeared at the end of S2 when ToBF was announced. I think releasing yet another version, so similar, with just a slightly different scratch may be even too far for Hasbro. I would probably buy one of the reforged ones and then either DIY the paint to match what you like better OR if a new version comes out, sell your reforged one and probably make all your money back on it.

    Nice showcase. What are the stands you use for your helmets and where can you get them?

    • @StarWarsCollected
      @StarWarsCollected  Před 2 lety

      Thank you Victoria! The secret helmet stands are... paper towel holders! I find them often at TJ Maxx and Marshals for about $6-$8, but they can also be found on amazon for about $11. Finding ones without branding or extra little holder pegs is the difficult part, but they aren't too hard to find.

      Hey Luis! The great thing is... they are just stainless steel paper towel holders. I pick them up for about $6-$8 at places like Marshalls/TJ Maxx/Home Goods and they can also be found for about $10-$12 on Amazon most of the time. Solid bases and presentation!

  • @dylancloud97

    I don't think the din helmet is a recycled boba sculpt, and I'm so glad they didn't lazy repaint it like they did the prototype

    • @StarWarsCollected
      @StarWarsCollected  Před 2 lety

      You’re right, It’s not. While it’s pictured here with the others I was just grouping all my black series Mandalorian helmets together, but when I mentioned the recycling, I was referring to the 3 that we have currently (boba, proto, Death watch) and the reforged Boba. Thanks for watching!!!

    Efx pretty pricey helmets?? Are they still available?
    Haven’t purchased a black series mando helmet yet… def want one now 😎
    Bobas armor was his dad’s correct? The dent in the helmet came when Jango was trampled in episode 2 ? Wasn’t sure
    Good stuff!! 😎

    • @StarWarsCollected
      @StarWarsCollected  Před 2 lety +2

      Pretty pricey but pretty good! I’m not sure if you can order right from EFX right now, but there are a number of vendors that sell their products and you could check out eBay too for new and used options. Black series does a great job for the price though!
      Boba’s armor would seem to be his dads now, but the helmet dent is more likely to have come from a dual with Cad Bane (only shown in Clone Wars cinematic) where they both shot each other in the head.

    • @StarWarsCollected
      @StarWarsCollected  Před 2 lety

      I think it would do well. From what I understand, it does have a number of changes to it from BF's helmet... but that doesn't mean they have to be 100% accurate to sell it to the masses. Maybe there will be a Jango flash back in BoBF and that will end up being our Black Series Helmet to release with that series!

It won’t fit my head with the straps. if you grab the part where it attaches to the inside (on the left and right sides of the helmet) and pull outwards and down to take it out of the helmet.
