    My PTG-11 kit came in last week and I'm extremely happy with this kit!! I'm liking the fact that wireless kits of this caliber are coming down in price such that mere mortals like us can get in on them. BTW: The rackmount kit I got with mine is a little different in a very good way. Instead of two identical rackmount arms (which puts the receiver in the middle of the rack), mine came with one long and one short arm (putting the receiver to either side of the rack space depending on which way you mount the rack arms). By having one short arm, it reduces the likelihood that the receiver will "bounce" or sag in the rack.

      Where did you get it? Does it work as good as it appears? I haven’t even found a used one!

    Hi. Firstly, thanks for great reviews...very informative. I just recently purchased and gigged with the Phenyx Pro IEM system...it worked very well, very pleased. I am seriously considering getting this PTG-11 system ... is there any chance of the two units working against each other, because of the frequency ranges or being mounted in the same rack? Thanks!

    • @ScottUhlMusic
      @ScottUhlMusic  Před 7 měsíci +1

      They definitely will work together in a rack, my singer does that 👍 two wireless at once in a rack is fine, it’s when it’s over 4 is when you start running into issues

    Scott - thanks for this video, my keyboard player Ken turned me onto your channel and I'm getting a lot of value out of your content. For this unit, the one thing I'm trying to get an answer to and can't quite find is can I have two different transmitters sending to the same channel on the receiver so that I can have two or for that matter three guitars set up with transmitters to send to the same channel on the receiver? I see that I can run 20 receivers at once, but that seems to mean that I could have twenty individual transmitters sending to single channels on twenty diff receivers. I want to be able to pick up any of my guitars and have them send signal to the same receiver and then the output of that receiver going to my FOH feed. Thanks --Jeff

      Thanks! Glad you’ve enjoyed the channel. Tell Ken thanks for me 🤘 I don’t remember if this system can do the multi transmitter setup. You can email them to find out. With cheaper ones that’s less likely, but some of them can work that way! You just cannot have the systems on all at the same time, you’ll need to turn one off before turning the other transmitter on

      @ScottUhlMusic Hey Scott, thanks for the reply. I did try this with the Ammoon or whatever they were called. I've had two of those for a couple of years and they work great, but couldn't pair two transmitters to one receiver. I did get in touch with Phenyx support and they didn't understand my question at first, but once I explained it more thoroughly, they came back and said it would work as long as transmitters were not turned on simultaneously. I have the four wireless mic set and a wireless headphone mic from Phenyx and they work well, so now I'll add the Phenyx Pro PTG-11 with probably 3 transmitters to the family.

    I found your channel lately and I am so grateful that I found it. I just went on to buy this product. I have used many plug-in play types before and were not so satisfied with them. I hope this will be an improvement. Just out of curiousity, could you tell me what the difference might be between this PTG-11 and other high-end products like Shure BLX-14R or EW100? I know the transmitter looks vastly different but I just can't help but prefer the plug-in play type design of the PTG-11. It seems to me as if they all work in similar frequencies and has similar amount of channels(or at least more than enough for a single guitar player). Thanks in advance.

    • @ScottUhlMusic
      @ScottUhlMusic  Před rokem +1

      The Shure ones will have more features and wider tuning bandwidth are the really big differences. This PTG also does not work with active pickups where as Shure and sennheiser ones do 👍 Thanks for following the channel!

      @@ScottUhlMusic Thank you for replying to a video that's 2years-old already! I didn't realize that lol. I really appreciate you taking care of all the comments, nonetheless. I am new to this wireless things and I am not familiar with the concept of "wider tuning bandwith". Do you have a video explaining those concepts? I would love to find out more!

    Hi Scott I was wondering if you could use this to scan for the ptm 10 IEMs to find the best frequency. It is in the same frequency range as the ptm 10. Let me know what you think Thanks so much.

    • @ScottUhlMusic
      @ScottUhlMusic  Před 10 měsíci +1

      I guess technically, you could can with this, see which channel it finds, set that on the PTM 10, and then scan for a new one on this one. That is an option 👍

    do you think it would create any loss of quality to attach the transmitter to your guitar strap and use a short right-angle extension cable from your guitar jack to the transmitter? i was just thinking more so to keep it low profile, and less likely to bang into a guitar stand when setting down

    • @ScottUhlMusic
      @ScottUhlMusic  Před 2 lety

      It shouldn’t create any tone loss if you do that 👍

      If you mean can you either 1) send the same mix to multiple transmitters (1 transmitter and 3 receivers), or 2) use multiple of these wireless iem systems at once, the answer is yes to both 👍
