- What could be a better prayer than in the words of the Mahan Syama Sastri... “ninnuvina vere dikkevarunnaru”. Presenting “Mayamma” in Raga Ahiri, which I had the blessing of learning from my guru Sangeetha Kalanidhi Smt. D.K.Pattammal when I was all of 12. Ahiri was one of the ragas that she rendered in a way that only she could and, every time I heard it I was in tears. I cannot but think of her when I sing every phrase of this song. This, and all that I sing are a tribute to her. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
