Ein wirklich tolles und markanter Sound. Heute neigt ja alles mehr hin zu einer Tonleiter. Die 101 ist da ganz klassisch unterwegs. Fast wie Goethe.
Der 101er Sound ist unglaublich kräftig, mit viel Bass. Sehr sehr schön.

Btw. From 145 built 95 are still in service and numbers are dwindling as they have no purpose anymore and more so in the future.
Few were sold, many were scrapped and others are simply waiting for their faith.
Also they're not listed for sale on the DB website oddly.

the converters of the two locomotives are very different but both are equipped with direct self control. which explains the similar sound.

Are you sure this is GTO? As far as I know it was one of the first to adopt IGBT with Frequency Modulation.

this locomotive uses GTO, the first locomotive to use igbt is the 12X after having been transformed by adtranz in 1997
