  • This is a tutorial on how to make The Workman's Wallet. This is a raw edge project suitable for non- fraying materials.
The pattern comes complete with comprehensive instructions and fully digitized pattern pieces which are available in both A4 and Letter sizes. Also included with your pattern purchase at no extra cost, are SVG files which have been tested on Brother ScanNCut, Silhouette and Cricut.
Cutting measurements and labels as well as a projector file (thanks Brittany!) are included, too.
You will find the measurements are provided in both imperial and metric as well. The pattern has my usually full comprehensive instructions with heaps of photos, too. A text only version is also included for printing purposes.

Hemp hand cream from the body shop is awesome on my dry/cracked/dermatitis hands. I’m really looking forward to making this wallet, thank you

I’ll have to track that down and give it a try as I’ve not had much luck with anything so far! Thank you! I hope you share some pics when you are done! 😊

Yes, thanks to our Aussie sun haha but strangely my mum worked on a farm all her life…many many hours out in the sun, yet she had the most amazing skin ….her skin at 90 looked younger than mine …I clearly didn’t inherit her skin genes! 😭

I love cork projects. How about a ladies tri-fold wallet? mine is 7.25 inches by 4 inches when closed.

I am certainly contemplating it Kathleen 😁

Chris, Love the design but my OCD side would like to see the stitching on the coin pocket flap line up with coin pocket on both sides. Is that doable or would it create too much bulk in the outside corner?

You could certainly make the flap wider so it lines up. It won't be any more bulky than where the coin pocket is but the thin edge of the flap would be more suseptible to wear (rubbing) if it were level with the outer body, if that makes sense.

Thanks Chris. Off to get the pattern and will have to try it both ways and give it a test.😄

It usea a combination of sewing and glue. The glue stops the edges from comiing apart and looking ugly but you could ake it with only sewing if you would prefer.
