I love this phone! When I was purchasing the flip, I ask the employee what color was selling the most and she said " This is the second flip we sold since launch, which was a month ago. Everyone wants iphone." I'm honestly scratching my head...this phone is so cute and great in performance. Customization is absolutely phenomenal. I had the iphone 13 and traded it in for the flip. 1000% better! Great review! It's so honest and accurate.

@Novarieas Honestly it's worth the upgrade, in my opinion. I got the mint color. It feels great in the hand. It feels premium. The camera is better than my iPhone 13. The smoothness of the software is better and just overall more aesthetically pleasing. I hope that helps😊

I feel the same way! Everyone in my family has iphone and i personally think they are afraid to step out of the box! I switched from iphone to samsung this year and I feel like it's just better in many ways and it's just so fun to customize!

@denichiaandrews6964 it doesn't give me color options, the only options I see are detailed or basic style and that's it

I'm currently replying your comment with a zflip 6 and I have to say that this is a nice phone with a lot of customization but if u consider buying it and playing videogames be prepared to cook your fingers because it gets really hot easily especially the upper part in the back I hope this helps❤

I was team iphone for years! Loved my iphones. They were quite simply, the best. But in the last 10 years and esp the last 5 Samsung has really stepped up their game. Ive had Samsungs now - the Note, the S series and now the Fold 6, and ill never go back. You cando a lot more on android esp samsung phones, and the customization is amazing. Theyre just really fun. I just got my Fold 6 & i love it, i highly reccomend you try out a samsung! :)

Use edge lighting in the settings to light the edges of the phone, if that doesn't work use edge lighting plus from good lock, you can choose icons to "light" your screen

I’ve been debating on switching my iPhone back to Samsung, unfortunately for myself the cons outweigh the pro. The aesthetic of the flip is awesome but not for my personal everyday use. I’ve always had iPhone as smartphones, though I’ve played with the Pixels and when changing carriers I decided to go for the flip. I can not wait to test it, your videos really helped to make the decision so much easier

And i agree with not liking most of the ai stuff, just feels like it steals from artists and is a bit grubby. i do like using the voice recording feature that transcribes for me though. As someone w focus and audio processing issues its p helpful
For configuration of the notifications you can go to the configuration and there's a place where it says notifications so there you can do it... but also if you are like me and like more for certain notifications you can use modes so there's a halo around the screen with different colours or get a little flash on the camera flash for the notifications and a lot of more things... so you should try the modes and have fun with that

28:14 im from indonesia, people here create a stigma that use iphone is richer than android user. Even tho their iphone is like ip7 or ip8 they still think highly of themselves and make fun of those android user. It's so weird trend but but i made my mind and changed to flip 6 yesterday from ip12 pro, my pinky hurts from holding my iphone and with flip i could just reply messages and chats from outer screen which is convenient for my pinkie!

I've been thinking very highly on getting this phone. Been hearing allot about how great it is. All except mostly on how slow the charging speeds are. I usually spend most of my days at home; so it won't be too big a deal for me.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 has an IP rating of IP48 for water resistance, which is the same as the Samsung S24 Ultra and iPhone 15 Pro Max. The only difference is in dust resistance.

Hi, in regards to the "accidental fingerprint unlock," go into settings, then go to biometrics and click on fingerprints. There should be an option to turn the fingerprint always on OFF.
I want it on though lol bc I don't like the other options either

You can also use Android Flash notifications to make your screen light up when you get a notification. To do this, you can:
Go to Settings then Notifications
Turn on Camera flash or Screen flash
Tap Screen flash to change the color
Tap the color you want
Tap Preview to see the color changes
Tap Done to save your changes

I had a Flip 4. I would be at work and I would fold my phone and watch the nightly news. Or, while on my forklift, I'd prop up my phone and take a selfie.

Love my flip 6 in the limited edition black colour.The hinge makes a noise when you first open it after a period of time been shut,it must stiffen up.LISTEN and feel it grinde as you open it when its stiffened up after a peiod of no use been closed.

About the find my thing on samsung... I just want to say about 3-ish years ago, I lost one of my galaxy buds at a gas station and I was able to locate it despite being a few miles away. I'm just assuming it's just better now.
On a slightly unrelated note my phone is connected on my tablet (s21 ultra and tab s6lite [which are a few years apart] and I accidentally left my phone in the car on like a 90° day and my tablet let me know that it was over heating and it let's me know when my phone battery is almost dead.
I can't compare it to apple because I haven't had apple since before the pandemic but I can say samsung devices are really good at "communicating" with each other

I'd tell you how to get your notifications to light up on your screen, but I've never had a Z Flip. I've had all the other Samsung phones, just never a Z Flip or Z Fold. I'm scared to try it out.

i switched from a 23U to the flip6 and the only thing i cant stand is battery life. I work at a place where I need my phone on for like my entire shift and it drains soooo much quicker

hey! i just got the flip5 and am also very new to this phone haha ... how were you able to get the notifications to list on your lock screen like on ios? i went through all the comments and did not see anyone ask so sorry if you have already answered!
When you're on the lock screen, hold it down like you're going to edit the clock and then when you click the notification section, it will give you the option
i got the 33W power plug to charge with the provided usb-c cables, and it charges in 1 hour 30 mins from 4% to 100%. 50%+ would be less than 30 mins. Tried the other cables, it does charges soooooooooo slow. like 9 hours??? then bought the new plug and it charges to fast now.

The top half of the flip getting jot is a big con i think...this could cause issues later on and i don't switch phones every 1-2 years so phones have to last at least 4 years without problems...
Another issue is that phones are so expensive nowadays...why do they jave to kost 1.5k??
