    This video will explain why YOU SHOULD NOT WATER YOUR SUCCULENTS if you are in doubt if they are ready to be watered or not. It is because they can survive for months without water but they will die in just few days from overwatering. We showed our love of collecting different varieties of succulents and learn how to take care and propagate them and our enjoyment sharing what we learned to all those who are interested to learn. We are fascinated with succulents because of their unique qualities.They can propagate fast, even from leaves. They can change colors depending on their location, sunlight exposure and watering techniques, but most of all, because of their capacity to survive prolonged drought.
    In this video, you will see how the succulents look like after two months of being deprived of water and how they cope with such condition. You will also see the results 2 days after they were watered well.
    We hope that after watching this video, you will not overwater your succulents again.

    I have rich colors, thick, compact/tight succulents which I do water frequently. They're outdoor, between 85-103 degrees. Partially shaded area, planted in cinder blocks. My chihuahua died so it seemed a proper memorial. Small, colorful, beautiful and compact.

    This is so incredibly helpful and arrived in my 'recommended videos' just in time. I don't water my succulents very often and yesterday I realized that I really have no clue how to tell when they need to be watered. The before and after visuals you showed were perfect. Now I know that my watering habits are what they need to be and I don't need to worry about under-watering my succulents, because it'll be clear when they need more water. Thank you!

    I love all varieties of succulents too. Most all of mine are planted in the ground outside. They do often get wet when other stuff is being watered. No problems with them yet. The are in good drainage areas and seem to only use the water they need. Happy Gardening.

    Thank you for your content! It helped explain to me what overwatering is, why you can't do it, and how succulents thrive without much water. Overwatering is the act of giving a plant water too frequently, not giving it too much water.

    • @ChopstickandSucculents
      @ChopstickandSucculents  Před 4 lety +1

      bh6sic it can be both. If you pour too much water on a small plant, planted in big container, with a soil mixture that holds a lot of moisture, the plant can get killed even in a single time it was watered. It’s giving too much water that they can hold either by too frequent or too much.
