- Join us this week on @ABOARDMERMAIDMONSTER as we pick up anchor in Marion MA and head up to beautiful Provincetown MA. The trip up to P-town requires that we navigate our way through the Cape Cod canal. This long wide canal is a heavily passaged canal that connects the Cape to the lower parts of New England. If you do not time the Canal properly you can get stuck in some pretty miserable currents. We pulled anchor, timed the currents and away we went. We had a beautiful passage to Provincetown. Buckle up and get ready for alot of bantering from Braden. He must have had 20 red bulls in the morning because he was SO hyper! He was chatting my ear off the whole cruise, we was pretty entertaining. We arrived in P-town right before the evening settled in. We were able to run into town and grab some groceries and then head back and make some dinner. What a beautiful day. If you are new here, then welcome. We are so happy to have you here. Please join in every Sunday at 9am ET for a brand new episode.
Cheers

Good job on the beard! Only a small second pass to square it up.
What an ad for Red Bull!!! He is jazzed!
"organized but flexible"...truth! boat life is the best!
Nice vidéo, filming madame, filming monsieur, filming madame, filming monsieur .... oh .... filming food as well.
You have to stop letting him drink that many Red Bulls. 🤣
JUST SAY NO. 🤣
My Grandmother lives right on the canal, on the Cape side near the Bourne Bridge. Watching the boats go through keeps her young! P.s. I can't get enough. Thank you!!
75 Tons, Wow, how awesome, 😮👌🇬🇧❤️👍
Ok i did not wanna say anything.... but maybe a couple less red bulls......:) Love from Norway
Red Bull should be a food category😂
Beautiful anchor ⚓ and chain
Love you guys vedio's thank for sharing
She's a SHIP 🛳, that's so 😎 cool, safe as a ship.
Redbull should be outlawed lol too much energy too early lol :) it's all good Brayden just messing with ya :) hehe
The piling which are referred to as the Stakes are on both end of the canal. The west end are just before and on the opposite side of the Mass Maritime Academy. They are used for commercial vessels, usually Tug and Barges to tie to and wait out poor weather conditions on the opposite end.
Had to watch Braden's commentary multiple times!! Found myself short of breath after just from watching....you know the slogan..."gives you wings." :)
🤣😂
I feel for your hubs. I get chatty cathy after my morning coffee. Im up much earlier than everyone else so by the time they wonder into the kitchen-im like MORNING!!! (and then talk about all the things I had time earlier) . My hubs always whispers "shhhhhhhhhhhhh....my brain has not received the message yet" LOL
Envious of the fine craft
You are correct about seeing the same boats with this being our first time from Florida to Maine and now working our way back. It seems all the mega yachts were up in Maine. It’s a great community and friends are made easily. We have not met, but see you are far away from your boats location in this video, lol. We are spending Thanksgiving in Charleston. Safe travels Mermaid Monster. Wicked Good.
Espresso always before redbull. Maslow told me the correct order.
Lots to enjoy and appreciate in your videos. Always a smile on my face, always something new to learn. But this one had me laughing hard enough that my wife came upstairs to see what the fuss was all about. Honestly it was Braden processing out loud about how to find a workaround for his overuse of the word “really”. His observation of himself when the word “very” slipped into the slot had me on the floor.
Great job American captain
Hey guys! It was(will be?) great to see you in that place that we spent (will spend) some quality time together. Crap! This is confusing! Is it now or some time in the future? Anyway, we hope to see you again in the real future at the place that we both plan to be at some point.... Best, Clark & Michelle on Roam, N5524.
The eight pilings are from an old episode of twilight zone... The one about a boat that comes into port and never leaves again... Scary.... :)
Not long started following you guys, but enjoy your (mostly) relaxed approach.
Great video guys. Brooke I ope you are feeling better real soon. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
As usual you all make my Sundays. Blood pressure monitored by Red Bull ain't a bad thing...yet!
Much care and blessings to your family. Stay Free. Stay Safe.
Cool new episode!
Thanks for sharing !
Great episode! Let Braden talk more!
Current is ripping.. Reminds me of some of the inlets in ICW in Florida...
This one made me homesick! I grew up in Falmouth, also watched your video the other day while you were fueling up there, I worked on the ferry one summa outta woods hole going to the vineyard. (BTW glad you made it through quicks hole) seen a few boats go on the rocks there over the years. (mostly sailboats) Also I remember climbing to the top of that 500' stack at the power plant behind you, I was carrying about 20Lbs of cameras and batteries, there was a fatal elevator accident and I was assigned to climb to the top to take pictures for an insurance claim. I'm now landlocked in CO and miss the Cape. Anyway enjoy the cruise as much as I've enjoyed your journey!
Happy thanksgiving guys. Cheers all the best xx
Thanks for sharing
Brook should take over commentary when the red bull goes wild lol
Another day in paradise. See ya next week.
But going through the Canal you miss Hyannis and the protected anchorage of Lewis Bay and then Chatham and Nauset.
Ok MM time to plan your cruise through the Panama Canal. Of course selfish reasons. I'm going to look at a 58 ft Bertram in Panama and will need to run it down to Ensenada Mexico where I keep my Hopefully soon to be for sale Hatteras 45C. Figure I can Learn all I need from You. Been watching your vids for a while and just subscribed. Luv em.
Safe travels.
Great
The sets of pilings also referred to as the steaks by canal control are there so that a tug and barge can tie up if they need to.
The pylon’s are probably for something nearby that uses a barge for maybe coal or something and they use the pylon’s to tie off the barges wile there swapping them out. That’s how it is where I live on the Worrior river! 🤷♂️
You're exactly right they're for oil barges to refuel the power plant you can see while passing the marina
Braden....... FOCUS, FOCUS everything was blurred
Great episode stay safe MM crew! Thanks for sharing!
Starting to think someone spiked his redbull with an illegal substance.
Hahaha. This episode of let’s go Branden is sponsored by Red Bull.
Damn... missed you again. I live abt 15 minutes from Ptown, next town over, and would have been happy to be a shore side car for you guys if needed. Next time.
Checklists save lives!
Brooke - My younger sister did something cute that you might like to try. She's taken a few old family photos of our mom and her when she was as old as her daughter is now and recreated them with her and her daughter. Someday her daughter will do the same with her own daughter.
As for running the trail along the canal, it is about 7 miles long on the Mass Maritime side, not sure if you can cross over as you would have to go by either the Bourne Bridge or the Sagamore Bridge.
Most likely the pilings are for barges to tie too?
be on the lookout for us M/Y Aquasition!
A couple years ago during a very hot summer, a trucking company I worked for told all drivers if they were found with RB on them, they were terminated after many drivers had to go to the hospital with heat exhaustion after drinking it.
Interesting. Sounds like truck drivers didn’t know how to drink water. Lol.
It’s for the barges
Braden: breathe.
Thank you for my Sunday morning wake up smiles! It’s been a few weeks since I’ve posted to you and I apologize. Getting old does create some problems at times. If you don’t mind I’d like to email you to discuss a few things I’ve noticed over the past few episodes. (I may not have commented but I’ll never miss an opportunity to watch your travels.
Thanks again and as usual, be safe and much ❤️ to y’all!!
That was great. Question on your anchor do you have the swivel hooked directly to the anchor or is there a shackle between the anchor and swivel?
it looks like they have an Ultra Flip Swivel. That connects directly to the chain and anchor. No shackles are used. It's a slick way of attaching your anchor to the chain.
@@chrisbynum4940 unfortunately many people think that’s the way it goes. You can confirm with people all measurements of holding power are not from the side pull and that’s how the swivel fails. Type into CZcams how to correctly make the connection between anchor and chain. The shackle is critical or the difference between holding and being on the rocks.
When are you going around the world?
What do you do for a living and how do you like

There appeared to be another nordhavn 55 backed into and tied up at
the dock at 14:17 of the video. Do
you know the owners of that nordhavn?
Yes Solway coast! Our friends.
We need a Red Bull sponsorship on this channel. Could you please explain how you manage your rubbish when you are on extended trips?
Compact it as much as possible!
And who knew Branden was such a talker... hahaha. Looks like a great day trip. 😀
🤣
Brooke, love the show! Can you share the meaning of your hat in this ep? Company logo? Thanks so much!
It’s a fjallraven hat!
Red Bull. And vodka
No vodka. We don’t drink
@@ABOARDMERMAIDMONSTER good. 4. U. Cappy
if you are afraid about going through the canal , please don't ever go out to Blue Water
To late
Barber shop? Does Brandon even know what a barber is?
Who’s Brandon? There’s a guy named Braden on our boat though. Lol🤣😂
I've never had a bog boat. When I was a kid my big brother was an L.A. County Life Guard and I spent every week-end on the Beach. I joined Jr life Guards and they gave Sailing Classes. The only big boat I was on was a cruse from main land to Catalina Island where my Grandma lived. I've never seen the East Coast.
What was the boat name of the Fleming
Honestly don’t know!
Lekker man lekker
Canal is seven miles
But if you crashed the boat you would probably go viral. Just sayin.
🤣
This would have to be the worst reality boat show on CZcams all you talk about is carp
All we talk about is carp? Lol🤨😂 you are very intelligent.
