  • Day 1 of our 8 day tour of Tibet started in the ancient capital, Lhasa. We visited Jokhang Temple, one of the most sacred temples in all of Tibet, bustling with earnest local pilgrims since the early days. We also watched monks debate at Sera Monastery and tried some delicious local Tibetan food! TOUR COMPANY ☞ Explore Tibet www.exploretibet.com/tibet-gr...

      This sickening Documentary below is a utmost Disgusting look into the soul of Communist China Regarding Tibet,The Tibetan Plateau and How Communist China Weaponized the Waters of Asia.
      Excellent piece of journalism, a phenomenal documentary.
      Every country is sufferering and will suffer because of the SILENCE & INACTION for 35-70 yrs.
      What China's doing with the rivers is an obvious existential threat to billions of Asians, including the Chinese and we're not hearing about this from mainstream news, the U.S. Government, the UN or anyone else. It's clear that China's holding its Asian neighbors as "water hostages" . Chinese imperialism speaks volumes about how Chinese money has corrupted western politicians.

    Tibet, especially Lhasa is a religious shrine of Tibetan Buddhism. Religion is the most important part of Tibetan life, and daily activities are all around beliefs. Therefore, Tibet is not an economically developed region in China.
    About 60 years ago, the Chinese Communist Party sent a large number of scholars, engineers and workers from the mainland to Tibet to help Tibetans build infrastructure. My grandparents were the Tibetan builders of that time. They used their feet to travel through almost the whole of Tibet to draw the earliest complete map of Tibet. During this process, they shared food and lived with the Tibetan people. During this period, they also helped a village west of Lhasa to build water conservancy facilities and power generation equipment.
    My grandfather is dead, and my grandmother is very old. But she still cares about the friends she made when she was in Tibet, and asked us to take her back to the area where she was building that year. When my grandmother walked to the foot of a mountain that now has modern roads and modern agricultural companies, she recognized several large stones nearby. Not too far up the mountain, we saw the water tower that my grandfather built for the village himself. To this day, two villagers still use it to provide part of their domestic and agricultural water.
    Today, Tibet is a modern area. All people's settlements have access to water, electricity, and roads. Tibetans in cities can even move into modern apartments without paying high costs.
    Tibetans are still religious, and Tibet is still a sacred land. Most Tibetans don't even retain their heritage, and their lives will be donated to temples for free.
    However, their lives have become better with the efforts of generations.
    Some voices try to stigmatize China's selfless dedication in Tibet. I hope they can go to Tibet and hear the local people's sincere gratitude to the Communist Party of China.

    • @hanmaalice8825
      @hanmaalice8825 Před 4 lety +8

      Tibet's diet has been influenced by India, Pakistan and China's Xinjiang and Sichuan. So the formal diet is somewhat similar to the Muslim diet including curry and grilled meat. This should be more acceptable to Westerners, so I think most people can try to travel to Tibet. Welcome to Tibet.
      In addition, the daily diet of Tibetans includes Tibetan milk tea made from yak butter and yak milk, and Zanba made from yak butter and barley flour. Well, most of them come from yak anyway.

      老共靠批斗地主,分田地,所以得到占内地最多数人口农民的支持,占人口少数的地主、富农成分的人就比较惨,不然你以为国民党怎么会败得那么惨,这就是历史事实,在西藏也是一样,解放农奴,斗上层统治阶级(达赖集团),所以达赖就叛国,因为自己的统治利益受损,争取中国最广泛人群的支持是老共的执政基础

    My father used to travel into the Zang area 15 years ago. (not tibet but somewhere around it I guess) It was a super remote place and transportation was difficult. He told me the people there hang their gold and silver on a tree as a tribute to Buhda. People there are really the purest and they do not have vain, lies or greedy thoughts in mind. Wish I can visit tibet one day. >< My mom is planning a tibet trip with her friend and I am really envy about it now.

    I have worked in Tibet for half a year. Tibet has a high income, mainly relying on the financial support of the government. Tibet has not only brought economic benefits to the Chinese government, but also spent a lot of money every year. There is a lot of money for lamas. I heard that from at least 5,000 RMB, lamas can get married and have children.

      How to apply for a visa? I had heard that it is difficult to get into Tibet ! And do we have to be with a tour guide always?

    • @danlovesayu
      @danlovesayu Před 2 lety

      @@Daisy-ml5ky Tibetan tour guides will follow where you go. You will need to coordinate with them and the tour agency on where you will be going when you reach Lhasa. Anything that’s plan on the itinerary, you have to follow first. Usually you will have 2-3 days to roam around Lhasa city after you finish all the remote places. You will need to let the tour guide know where you roughly be going. It’s still better to have your tour guide tag along as most Tibetans do not speak English. Some hidden gems which only local tour guides will know. It’s not that the tour guide loves to follow you but it’s part of tour agency and government SOP that each foreigner needs to be accompanied at all times except when you are sleeping! Hahaha. Anyway, places like Potala Palace must be accompanied by tour guide and you must follow their time which they reserved for you. You can’t just enter the monastery anytime.
      I stayed at Shangri-la (yes a little expensive) as I prefer the hotel as it’s nearby some popular tourist spots, including Potala Palace. You will need to apply for 2 visas. One is China visa to enter China. Another visa will be taken care by the Lhasa tour agency which is another document you need to show at the immigrations if you arrive Lhasa first.
      There are many ways to enter Tibet. I started my route from Chengdu city and we took G318 route. It took us 6 days to arrive Lhasa.
      One important tip is never ask anyone about Dalai Lama or talk about him. Best to ask your tour guide on some sensitive topics to avoid especially on politics. Tibetans are beautiful people and very friendly.
      Good luck and I hope you make it for the trip of your lifetime!
      If you work for a newspaper or media agency, your application to get a China visa might be a little harder. This is the info learn from my Tibetan tour guide. It’s a 50/50 chance.
      Oh, get a VPN before you fly if you want to post videos on CZcams or Instagram! It’s pretty handy to have one. I use Express VPN (yes it’s expensive) and it works all the time. I do not work or have any part with the company.
