I’ve come across people who are exactly like Michael Brown: No “filter”, no discernment whatsoever. They turn on me and tell me not to “judge” when I point out evidence that what they are involved in is not biblically correct. They’re deluded. And it is sad.
I was in the WOF movement years ago. I ended up in the New Age because it felt so familiar. After God opened my eyes and I repented and turned whole heartedly to Him I realized that the spirit behind both movements is the same! I've tried to warn friends who are still in the WOF movement but I come across as crazy/deluded to them. Others ended up turning to the New Age just like I did. I tried warning them also only to be told that I was being paranoid: no need to be worried as they were just universal truths (which is how they justified the similarities). New Agers have no problem with Jesus just the concept of sin and repentance and that His blood was shed for the forgiveness of sin. This is the core of the gospel without which there can be no salvation.
So back before I was saved, i was heavily into Occult practices and I used Tarot cards a lot. This looks EXACTLY the same!! They are Tarot plain and simple. I can’t believe Bethel is doing this!
I want to make a fortune-telling deck where all of the cards say “You’re a filthy sinner in need of a Savior, and that Savior is Jesus Christ”.

Dr Brown has no problem pointing out supposed problems with solid theologians, but when confronted with the demonic he waffles! I just find it hard to see him as anything but complicit in all this, when he never condemns these heresies. 🤯
I've never known a so-called "orthodox" charismatic or pentecostal to apply ANY biblical standard to one of their own. Michael Brown's refusal to ever do so is not at all unusual.

I spoke to jenny Hodge on the phone as we both live in Melbourne but when I asked about these tarot cards she got nervous and excused herself by saying 'I can't talk I'm tired need to get rest''!! What's next a christian ouija board? lol..
I actually think there IS auch a thing! It has a picture of an angel or something on it. I'm sure if you search you will see it online. I would look myself, but Ouiji boards is something that I don't even want to SEE. The Pastor we had when I was a young girl (about 7) gave an entire sermon and special Sunday School kids sermon about them. Apparently in the early 80's it was really picking up in popularity amongst kids and teens, so Pastor Jim made SURE we ran from them!! I am approaching my late 40s and I still run from it. The Apostle Paul mocked them. What about Jesus? He called the Pharisees a brood of vipers. Should we take Him for mocking and uncaring? Absolutely. They don't stick to the word of God but say they're believers, I say mock and pray for them.

I hate lies just like we all do, but I’ve had to protect myself, we always must speak the truth in love. By that I mean, I have to keep also from developing a hard heart towards people whoever they may be.

I actually found those articles on the "museum of idolatry" on accident when looking up Bethel's "grave soaking" practice. I almost fell out of my chair when I figured out - in a video from 2011 of a BSSM experiential, out-of-campus group practicing grave soaking - the guy in the black hoodie leading them was Ben Fitzgerald... the Hodge's son.

YES. It's a travesty. Can you imagine the Apostle Paul or the Apostle Peter conducting themselves in this manner? Oh, that's what got them thrown in jail, beaten, running for their lives, and martyred... Giving people "spirit readings" to let them know how much God loves them and condones of them just as they are. 😤🙄

So I had no idea this was even a thing...why is this a thing? Slapping a "Christian" label on something we aren't supposed to do doesn't make it OK. Also, that verse about sorcery, divination, etc. essentially made me rule out so many hobbies. I liked high fantasy stuff like D&D, LotR, etc. It might be argued that since I know it's fake, it isn't equivalent to me doing it, but it's not a risk I wanna take

I am a pentecostal. Cessationism is non sense bc I have seen demons cast out myself and lying seems like a terrible idea-Rev21:8. All that being said this video was absolutely excellently done through and through and if you would disagree you have no biblical basis for doing so. This "movement" is ambiguous and evasive when it comes to even stating its fundamental doctrines, this gentlemen here has caught false doctrine sasquatch wide open and on video while providing very sound teaching to accompany what can only be called heresy. I thought the teaching was clear and largely unbiased which I also respect. God bless you sir.
I'm a rather opiniated atheist, but I do believe that religions can perform important services, provide ritual and guidance to calm stormy minds...
However most of the time I feel people take it and run with it, use religion to steal rights and freedom of others or start violent confrontations.

This is not happening just in Australia as “undercover evangelism”. In the US I am certain this was happening, could still be under the ministry of the late John Paul Jackson affiliated to the Kansas Prohetic Ministry (Bob Johnes & the like). Throughout some of the courses that I unfortunately took on his Streams Ministry into the prophetic specifically in interpreting dreams and visions he not once mentioned of their ministries at new age fairs. It only dawned on me later after God pulled me out from all of the deception that actually they were not going there as Christians.
Once he mentioned he was approached by a lady at the new age fair telling him he and his team can no longer attend because the Booths around them complain of losing their power and have had labeled them as “spiritual vampires” at which John Paul responded that when a greater power comes into place the lesser powers are obliged to obey/ leave 🤷🏼♀️ . This response had apparently made sense to the lady.
I am just saying this because it is going on everywhere apparently and that the rabbit hole is deeper than anticipated ...

I'm not sure why Dr Brown's endorsement or condemnation matters to this point. We are not made pure by doing either. Dr Brown clearly stated he didn't know enough to decide one way or the other. That's a fair and honest answer. Why didn't he have time to research? Because he's not in the discernment ministry. I don't think people like JD Hall and Chris get that. Some of us were called for that. Some of us were called to warp speed the gospel to the ends of the earth. Personally I see the relevance to condemn this practice but I had the benefit of Chris putting this information together for us. In light of the Hyper discernment ministry of Joshua Chavez, haven't we learned what six degrees of condemnation really means?

Where can I find these type of events? It would be interesting to swing by and challenge them on their practices and doctrines and confront them with the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.

EVEN IF this wasn't fortune telling/deception and outlawed by God since the beginning... HOW could this be effective evangelism? (Yes, I know it's NOT evangelism because it's not in any shape or form biblical Christianity. Just coming at it from an intellectual angle.) So... you bait and switch people into believing in God? What does that say about our God? That we can't be honest about Him and who He is, who Christ is, and what He did and what He stands for? Ugh. This is why we are warning people about James White and his relationship with Micheal Brown. It’s as if White has zero ability or gumption to call Brown out.
If it were "gumption" required, White would call it out. He doesn't wholly disagree with Brown is the point. It was clear in the interview a couple days ago that White has called him out personally and privately and Brown did respond. He plainly said that his appearance on Hinn's show was a mistake. Brown needs to be stronger in this area, but he is not responsible for these people's paganism.

There are Jesus oracle cards and Psalms oracle cards on ebay. Maybe I could get more Christian clients if I use one of those decks and don't let them know the tarot I'm using them is the Aleister Crowley deck. They might not like Crowley. I'm thinking $50 per reading. I can even touch their head and slay them in the spirit for their little personal encounter.

It's about what the Bible clearly says. It's not about man's wisdom and whoever thinks they have the best argument, that in their mind seems logical.
Sometimes people have theories about some things which may or may not have merit. We can speculate on some things but that doesn't make them true. But what is plain and clear in the Bible we can be sure is true.
Too many folks claim they got a special revelation that the scriptures don't mean what they plainly say and claim that God showed them different meanings that are taking the followers down a rabbit hole. Many times a dangerous rabbit hole.
What happens to all the money they make?
