Some days there was less than others but since I worked closing shifts and not lunch shifts it wasn’t busy except for around dinner time
it takes one person to break down boxes, I hope your youtube channel makes money cause you suck at working a normal job.
JustinT2 you see if there’s that much free time it’s ok for two people to break down boxes especially if it was before a rush so they could get it done as fast as possible, so take your toxic behavior and leave

Our subway is really laid back as well, moreover I work in the closing shifts so they are 10-15 customers in 3h so we have much free time if we finished our chores. We get a half Sub and something to drink for free

edit 1 Year Later: So After working at subway i can say it's honestly the easiest job you can get for a first job i worked in a subway in a Walmart it got busy every once in a while but that wasn't a problem cause everyone knew what they where doing. if your worried about not memorizing all the sandwiches trust me lmao just be confident its not hard at all, the best way to memorize them is to make them yourself if there's like 1 costumer in your store make there food. i quit in march of 2020 and since have had 2 jobs since that i quit because of reasons. the only reason i can find that i didn't like working at subway was because of the people i worked with they never did certain jobs they where supposed too and it made the store run slow. since then though they have hired new people and upgraded the store i will be returning soon lol. if you have any questions just comment.

i literally just called and they had me come in the next day for an interview , when she gave me the application i only filled out like 4 things , after 15 minutes of talking she told me a started two days later

Toni McKnight I didn’t get hired lol. But, I got a better job. I thought subway would be a lit place to work especially when high as fuck but now I work at Safeway (a grocery store) and I like it way more there than I would have liked subway.

I work at Subway and honestly that was so relatable. My store is bigger out front and a LOT smaller out back, plus we only get 30 minutes after close... but just reminds me of a shift. And letting my co-workers make sandwiches for me... and regretting it...

They might teach you to close the sandwhich using the knife but I found out it’s easier if you tip it on its side and just close it.

It only took about a day to figure things out. Mainly meats are where I needed to learn. The amounts to put on and what different sandwiches are

Would this be a good place for a first job? It seems like a pretty laid back environment. The work seems like it would be hard at first but get easier over time. I guess my main concern is that I have no prior work experience. Is that a big issue when trying to work here?
I really liked working at subway and it was my first job as well. It didn’t really get in the way it was just weird trying to learn how to work
Biggest thing is not being scared to talk to the customers. The worst thing is to be shy and not talk to the customers. Even if you dont know the sandwich formulas the customer will appreciate being spoken to and also let them know you are new and leaning. If you're shy or quiet, they may think you're dumb or just don't care about your job. Customer service is vital!

Well it depends on the place. I applied for Chik-Fil-A but it was only going to be for a little so they said no, but for subway they knew it would only be for a little bit I still got hired. Hopefully that helps

Hammah It’s pretty good so far, I’ve been training for the past week, nothing too difficult. They make you create an account on subway’s website and they have videos for you to watch before attaining starts and I thought that was really helpful. Other than that, I’ve been making sandwiches, cutting veggies, prepping meats/cheeses, lots of cleaning, bread & cookie baking and making tea/coffee. I like it so far, pretty interesting.

I worked at Subway back in 2003 when I was 19 and quit after 5 days. I had worked food jobs before that so it wasn't something new for me. What made me quit was the schedule they threw me on and the Hitler Nazi owner. The Store location I worked at was centered in a business area and they put me on lunch shift. Their idea of training was throwing my straight to the wolves. Place was busy than hell and I had no idea what or how to do anything while getting yelled at by a customer because he wants extra lettuce. GFY! Then the owner who hired me would preach everyday about how the security cameras inside feed into his home TV and that he is constantly watching us. No joke, the guy was literally the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld. Called in the last day and told them I'm not ever coming in and did not look back on it.

I started training today and I’m 15. I haven’t gotten the video training thingys since my manager started my training the day after my interview. I did some people’s vegetables cause that’s pretty easy but I’m nervous for memorizing how much meat you put and the types of sandwiches :/

Any tips for memorizing the sandwiches I heard that there were little cheat sheets for them at some places. I also hear that it has to be in the exact order that it’s written and everything.
So there wasn’t a cheat sheet where I worked. I only had problems with putting names to the meets and it only took about 2 days and I knew everything

I have never heard of Jersey Mike’s but I still really like subway. I like the sandwiches that you can get there
Gabe Davis oh sorry. Jersey Mike's is another sandwich place that specializes in subs like Subway. I figured that since you work for Subway, you wouldn't bad-mouth them. I have enjoyed Subway in the past and probably will continue to do so once I have an opportunity to get to one near where I live. Best of luck in your continued employment with them.
