@@groovyone5492 If you believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, you will see God work and do things in your life that it will be impossible for you to believe that there is no God. The fool has said in his heart, there is no God!! It is this serious!! Jesus Christ is telling you the truth. Sin cannot enter Heaven. Jesus Christ had your sins placed upon him on the cross, he suffered the full wrath of God the Father in order for the Fathers justice to be satisfied for your sin against him. Jesus paid your penalty for you which was an eternity in Hell. He shed his blood, died, and rose again. He ascended into Heaven. He is the God man. You can also rise and go to Heaven because he paid your penalty on the cross for your sins. All you have to do is believe. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son. So anyone that believes in him will not go to Hell, but will have everlasting life in Heaven. Do not listen to Roman Catholicism, it is of the devil. They do not tell a person how to get to Heaven. Jesus says: I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes unto the Father except through me. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. For we have one advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

You prayed to another human for your sons healing? We are supposed to pray to Jesus because only HE can intercede for us. Read your Bible. When you pray to another human regardless of their man given title like 'Father' or 'Bishop' or 'President' or whatever is deifying them. Do NOT do that. Do not pray to Mary either. Stop it. Pray ONLY to Jesus.

Nice to meet you. Someone from Ireland keeping the faith. My sister married a Murray. Found out it was a protestant family. Her children are now in a very different walk. Her husband and her left the Catholic Church. Her daughter is atheist. Her son married into the modernist church

It was beautiful to see the Holy Spirit wash over Father in this homily. I believe, no matter what the world may say!

The parishioners of St Mary Church are, themselves, deeply blessed and gifted by God, for He has given them this holy, noble, loving priest, to love and humbly serve them with all his heart and mind, out of his love for the God who sent him, as he draws the people ever closer to God in love, even as Fr. Mark has been gifted by God with a flock of His children to shepherd in love for God.
And gifted are we, who can listen in, and be touched by his words.
Hearing this poignant and beautiful homily, I am reminded, "If, today, you hear His voice, harden not your hearts."

I just saw an article this morning that made me laugh. Apparently some scientists are shocked that there is evidence that the universe is accelerating at different speeds in different parts, and that "our whole understanding of the universe "may" be flawed" lol. 😅 The idea that we even think we can understand with out limited capacity the infinite universe is so ridiculous I think it displays clearly our pathetic hubris and idolatry of ourselves
