Great video so far and I'm only 44 minutes in. I had to pause and comment when I saw your son smiling--a true heart warming moment. There is nothing happier than a smiling child nor as beautiful as a smiling woman.
    God Bless, be safe.

Hello from Norway. I would like to tell that you are making incredible videos that I rather would call movies with travel depictions in magnificent nature, incredibly good historical updates, the calm and good story teller, and the good editing of the movie. I shoud of course have been a patriot, but it's very long time since I could look at your movies and it's not often I'm able to follow your movies after I was disabled from the corona vaccine, but I would like to send my big thanks to you for this fantastic movie. Thanks.

    Hey y’all
When you get to those barb wire fence gates!!
The little wood pole that is hanging there with piece of wire on it , just stick it around the gate side post and pull or push with it then hook the top wire back over the post top !!
Helps with the tension on the gate 👍👍

Regarding the dust on the rear of the vehicle. I’ve used an 18 volt blower for years now. Blowing off the tent or the rear of the truck, even the interior of the tent. My buddies would make fun of me. Now they all carry one. I also run a small air line off of the OBA system to blow the interior from time to time.

At 9:50 the shot of the mountains in the background was fantastic, completely blew me away and I'm from Nevada. Using the word majestic for that view would be an understatement.
Me again, at around 1:12:50 in the rocks so to speak, did you ever worry about those small sharp rocks sticking up I call them tire poppers. Nevada is famous for those little devils.

Overlanding tip of the decade....spend $15.00 on a full length shovel from Lowes or Home Depot to use when you really have to move some material. Besides moving over ten times the material compared to those cute little folding shovels for the same effort, it will protect your back to keep you from actually injuring yourself during an epic journey such as this.
Beautifully done job on the cinematography!!

Forget most of the great shots of the truck in motion-- you are the drone man of the West that is where I come to look at what's really out there from my location I can't possibly get to--- Rrone height is your strength, no not even the sunsets. There should be a professional photographers license to get real Rdrone operators/photographers to get up above national no fly areas. Blister pack $5 drones have just about ruined the overreaction from government regulators.

I have the gentleman version of the Toyota pickup. Thailand people love to call them the Hilux. Power steering, air condition, and automatic transmission. I got it in 2000 which was the last year of the popular silver paint job all vehicles had that year and prior. Things turned to white after that And still running white in the showrooms. Mine only knows paving but has run like a truck since I got it and that's even with Thailand drivers in it or near it.
Thailand traditional politeness does not extend to the road. An ambulance with siren blazing does not get a pull over for passing. It took a few months for my American anger style to dissipate on the road and during that time I clipped a couple of mini bus drivers trying to take my lane. My Thai wife taught me that's a guy pulling ahead is probably going to visit someone in the hospital, so her forgiving nature taught me to just calm down and let Thailand flow...... Which lt does with one of the biggest highway death rates in the world.
We don't have challenging routes to do Backcountry trip because all of our routes are challenging. Loading the family and kids up for a drive is not popular, but when you see Papa and Mama balancing selves and their four children on one motorbike, you know that excusing and tolerance is a big part of life here.
I knew I wanted a Toyota pickup as soon as I saw those Middle Eastern toyotas running 50 caliber in the back and decades of survival on them. Nevertheless, I would still be frustrated to have a vehicle that could not take me through the snow seen here. Well, at least my Toyota takes, you know, over curbs, no realignment needed!

I grew up around that area. I’ve made it over the top in vehicles such as a Hyundai Elantra, Mini Cooper-s, and most helpful, a Ford explorer sport. It’s clear these guys don’t know how to drive in the snow. They’re scared off by like 6 inches. That’s a shame as their rig is awesome. You DO NOT need a fancy rig to tour the sierraNevadas, or any high altitude spot in the states. You need common sense and cable chains for most awd or 4x4 vehicles. Also add nylon spike additions or make your own. This works well in snow, ice and mud. Carry “trax” with you. An addition you don’t need but if you haven’t grown up in harsh conditions-get rated recovery points on the front and back of your car.at the very minimum, get tow straps and a rated bar. You don’t need a 4x4 to get there. Dudes are dumb. No mater where you’re at tho, tell someone where you are. Practice if you’re not use to snow.

You’re an idiot if you think you could make it through that snow in a Hyundai Elantra 😂
It’s even worse that you’re acting like an expert, then suggest chains for deep spring snow. You’ll dig the wheels down in seconds and then be very stuck on the vehicle’s belly. Literally the worst thing you can do in anything more than a few inches of compacted snow.
