Black History Month is celebrated in Canada each February.
And while the month-long celebration of Black Canadians and their accomplishments officially started in 1995, its origins go back much farther than that, both in Canada and the U.S.
So when did Black History Month begin? Why? And where do people think it’s heading in the future?
