People that keep moaning about how The Crown "exaggerated" certain moments... It's a TV Show, obviously there will be a bit of a fiction or drama add to it. But you only need to watch a couple of Diana's interviews or Charles ones to see how she really felt and how he was mistreating her. What she had to go through.
"The Crown" series is not just a drama but a "True to Life" drama because they use the real name of a person they want to portray. How would you feel if you were made into a movie that wasn't true and would even destroy your personality?
It also depicted Diana as a Mama Bear unwilling to let go of her child and refusing even to being apart from him for 2 weeks--whereas (and I remember this) she often seemed distracted and awkward with William as an infant, and in reality--as said here--William was in the care of his Nanny, not Diana and Charles for the 6 weeks in Australia.
Maybe it has nothing to do with what's going on on the outside like the weather and such, but rather what's in the inside of her and her emotions as a mother and being told what a burden her son will be and they had to depict it by the weather and awkwardness she showed with struggles to hold her baby and protect him properly from the rain and harsh weather.. she wanted him to be with her despite the fact that traveling really isn't suitable for any child let alone a royal tour with hours and hours of work and interviews. She was young and made a mistake but it's forgivable knowing she meant well.
well at least what brings me joy in all this is that princess diana will always be the most loved and respected ''royal'' of all time. rest in peace , she deserved the world and so much more

So it's hard to be part of the Royal family, and it's not about being inhuman, it’s just they have some protocol which is being run for centuries.
Charles was a lucky dog to have an absolute “babe” and a genuinely beautiful person inside, for his wife. Too bad he also has the brain of dog not to realize his good fortune!

I’m sure they had good days and it wasn’t all so bad till the middle of the marriage. They look content for the most part. I don’t think I can finish watching the rest of the series.
