Behind the terrible face of Nazi Germany’s awesome military power lay the twisted mind of one man …. Adolf Hitler. Now, the visions and the desires of the most evil person in modern history are revealed, as this unique presentation lays bare his plans for world domination and ethnic annihilation. His paramount aspirations for the creation of a Super Race and a ‘One Thousand Year Reich’ are encapsulated here - in his own words. Never before seen footage and authentic dialogue taken directly from the writings, speeches and private conversations of Nazi Germany's revered Fuehrer reveal the lies, treachery, hypocrisy and the sheer terror of that point in time. ‘Hitler in His Own Words’ is an important chronicle of our recent history. A disturbing, captivating and unsettling milestone of recent Military and Political history and a haunting testament of the ultimate corruption of power.

I'll be 64 this year. My father was a WWII era vet and so were all my uncles, one at Normandy and one in the Philippines. Our family left Holland and came to America in 1928 at the rise of the NSDAP, as they were coming into Holland with their doctrines.
As a boy growing up I was an ardent student of WWII and the rise of Nazi Germany and National Socialism, being born just 15 years after it (yup, boomer here).
This video is excellent and really addresses a lot of the early mentality of Hitler, quoting directly from Mein Kampf and speeches, writings and first hand accounts.
THIS is the kind of documentary people need to see. Not the hyped up tank simulations which while entertaining do little to convey the true history of the war. Thanks for posting.

Good comment ! Germany created the Soviet Union towards the end of the 1WW when they prepared a special train that took Lenin waiting in Switzerland and injected him into the now civil war of Russia with the sole purpose of not having to fight on 2 fronts . It worked but not for long as they were still defeated in 1918 and they planted the seeds for WW2 where the 2 dictators fought to most brutal war ever ! The National Socialists fought the World Socialists (Communism) the western front was almost a side show . 80% of German soldiers were by Russians . The Germans in a war of just 6 years had killed multi millions on an Industrial scale . ( And the Germans being Germans they kept good records of it . But the Russians were even worse and combined with International Communism has killed many more ! Stalin , Mao etc etc ! Russia was not the Good guys as they agreed to divide Poland and attacked Finland . They got away with it !

Versailles was merely a symptom. Germany's main affliction was bad leadership. Choosing to print money to pay the reparations was stupid. A better leader would have known there was no way the Allies were going back to war because they didn't get paid and simply told them to pound sand. That is exactly what Hitler did and even after he showed his desire for conflict and aggression the allies still backed down. The Allies fear of another war had more to do with what happened in the leadup to the war than Versailles. In fact Versailles had failed to function at all by the time German tanks rolled into Poland.

    • @silverbullet2008bb
      @silverbullet2008bb Před rokem +22

Hitler did not begin the invasion of Russia in the winter, nor was war with Russia planned for the wintertime.
Germany would have won the war had it not have been for Mussolini's needless and egotistical attack against Greece. The Greeks put up a heroic defense of their homeland and the Italian forces got into a quandary. Hitler therefore diverted German forces from the Russia offensive to aid his ally in Greece.
This delayed the German offensive into Russia by 6 or more weeks. Had it not been for this delay then the German Wehrmacht would not have been halted by the early onset Russian winter which gave the Soviets time to regroup and go on the counter offensive. There is no doubt the Germans would have taken Moscow otherwise. The Wehrmacht tanks were on the tramlines that lead to Moscow when the winter weather set in.

Germany could not possibly win a war of attrition against the USSR. The fact is that Germany had half the population of the USSR, its huge land mass, and a very determined opponent in Josef Stalin. I don't admire the man, but I do admire the power he had, he virtually had the power of a mortal Demi-God, imaging all the GOOD he COULD have done with that power, instead of all the bad he caused with it instead. 'Dictators' per se are not the problem, its bad Dictators that are the problem, if you had all the power in your country - you could solve every social problem swiftly in your country - if your word was the law everyone had to obey, without the wasted time of endless committees and bureaucracy or special interest lobbying to bribe senate and congress to vote against your decision,, someone proven to have been wrongly imprisoned - your word can free them immediately, someone loses everything in a house fire, your word can have them in a new house immediately - if you order it to be provided, etc, it COULD be a great thing, but if the dictator is evil - then it becomes the worst thing that could possibly happen, as we have seen so many times all over the world. The real problem is that human beings ALWAYS get drunk with power, and absolute power - corrupts them absolutely.

    6. As early as 1930, the Mocarstwowiec magazine, which was close to Polish President Pilsudski, wrote : “...We are aware that a war between Germany and Poland cannot be avoided. We must prepare systematically and vigorously for this war. No prisoners are taken in this war. There will be no place for humanitarian feelings. We will surprise the whole world with our war.” [13]
    7. The Polish newspaper League of Great Powers announced in 1930 (!): “The struggle between Poland and Germany is inevitable. We have to prepare ourselves systematically for this. Our goal is a new Grunewald, but this time a Grunewald in the suburbs of Berlin, which means that the defeat of Germany must be carried into the center of the territory by Polish troops in order to hit Germany in the heart. Our ideal is a Poland in the west with the Oder and Neisse as a border. Prussia must be recaptured for Poland, namely Prussia on the Spree.
In a war with Germany there will be no prisoners and there will be no room for human or cultural feelings. The world will tremble before the German-Polish war. In the ranks of our soldiers we must bear superhuman sacrifice and a spirit of ruthless revenge and cruelty . "
    8. On December 14, 1931, the English Manchester Guardian described Polish nationality policy as "hell".
On the part of Poland, preventive war plans against Germany were developed several times. For example in 1933 , when Piłsudski dealt with such considerations because he was of the opinion that Germany was so weak that he could dare to go to arms with Germany if necessary without French support.[14] Pilsudsky approached France three times in 1933 with urgent requests to begin a campaign against Germany (100,000-man army!!). Poland's imperialism after its re-establishment is shown in the graph below. Only smaller Polish minorities lived in the annexed areas (except in Galicia) until 1918. Referendums could have provided clarity, but were avoided.[15]
    9.
    10. Heinrich Fenske, ethnic German from Lipno (near Thorn, Poland) - then 15 years old [16] - writes: » From 1938, war was openly discussed. According to the principle: Poland must be as clean as a glass of water , the Poles always said: "Niemcy do Berlina a Zydi do Palestina" (The Germans to Berlin and the Jews to Palestine) and Fenske further reports: "We are not in the least bit dressed believed war. However, the harassment of the Poles against us increased. For example, when we walked through Polish villages, we were insulted and stones were thrown at us. During this time, young Germans often emigrated to Germany or America. Often only the people who had inherited the farm stayed.”«
    11. In one of the most important magazines of the USA ( Nation ), William Zuckermann (himself a Jew) wrote on April 2, 1938 : "In recent years the Jews in Poland have had to endure almost constant physical attacks and pogroms... This outburst of anti-Semitic bestiality does not take place no equal in Europe, not even in Nazi Germany…”
    12. Polish maps were published showing the western border of Poland running eastward from Bremen, Hanover, Kassel, Fulda and Nuremberg, even Hamburg was claimed to be "proto-Slavic territory". [17]
    13. Poland had already ordered a partial mobilization of its armed forces on March 23, 1939 , [18] whichwas “topped up” days before the start of the war through the general mobilization (published on August 30, 1939) , which was tantamount to a declaration of war on Germany.[19]
    14. In a letter to the editor of the Deutsche Wochenzeitung dated June 24, 1988, Walter Gabriel, Bargdeheide, writes: “In April 1939 , a Polish officer lined up his crew and asked for volunteers who were willing to shoot a German landowner (for no reason). 16 men signed up. It is true that the time has not yet come, but they should be ready.” In July 1939, a Polish colonel said the following on the market square in Eichenbrück: “We will soon be playing skittles with the heads of the Germans on this square.” The same officer said on this occasion, when the time came, the Poles should not shoot the Germans, but slay them with spades.
    15. The Volksdeutsche Elfriede Eichelkraut, now living in Wuppertal, writes: [20] “Long before the start of the war - it was probably April or May - the Poles drew up lists of Germans whom they considered suspicious. Some of the Germans were arrested before the war broke out and taken to internment camps or imprisoned.”
    16. From May 1939, Poland continued to intensify riots against Germans. In the country, German farms were set on fire in large numbers by Poles, the peasants were driven away, people in the towns were beaten up and, in isolated cases, killed. [21]
    17. Furthermore, from May 1939 onwards , - German church services were systematically disrupted, - the German newspapers were repeatedly confiscated, - the use of the German language on the streets, in shops and restaurants was made impossible, - Germans were attacked in their homes and farmsteads, - schools , kindergartens, libraries, German houses closed and - cooperatives, cultural associations, charitable institutions (despite the constitutionally guaranteed rights of the German ethnic group) eliminated.
    18. On 13./14. On 1 May 1939 in Tomaschow (42,000 inhabitants) the Poles chased all 3,000 ethnic Germans out of the factories, German shops and commercial establishments and demolished their homes. [22]
    19. The Polish Minister of War Kasprycki declared in Paris on May 15, 1939: [23] "...We intend to wage a war of movement and invade Germany from the start of the operation."
    20. The Polish Inspector General and strategist Rydz-Smigly stated in a lecture to Polish officers in mid-summer 1939 : "Poland wants war and Germany will not be able to avoid it, even if it wanted to." [24]
    21. The East Prussian Lutz Radtke, Bad König, writes: “... I myself am very moved by the subject of war. I was 13 when it started. We lived in East Prussia, near the German-Polish border. Night after night there was firelight in the sky - over there, on the Polish side. German farms burned there in the summer of 1939 , before the start of the war! And people came across the border, tired and bleeding, poorly bandaged. They were Germans whose German homeland (see the Versailles Treaty) had passed into Polish possession years earlier. At least they had just saved their lives. Not everyone succeeded in this exciting, threatening, highly dangerous pre-war period in Poland..."
    22. In the summer of 1939 the German government had to set up reception camps for 70,000 ethnic Germans in order to cope with the flood of refugees from Poland. The significant number of ethnic Germans who were taken in by relatives and friends in the Reich or who fled to other neighboring countries is not known. The Germans in Poland even fled into the forests.
    23. On July 28, 1939, Poles set fire to houses 15 km from the border in Haldenburg, Germany.
Polish acts of war to provoke Germany
    1. From March to August 1939 there were more than 200 Polish military border violations involving arson, murder and kidnapping. It is all the more astonishing that a single incident, the attack on the transmitter in Gleiwitz, is singled out today. In the explanation of the German authorities, why the police action against the rogue state of Poland became inevitable, this incident did not appear at all.
    2. From July 1939, the Polish military crossed the German border in small groups up to a maximum platoon strength, burned down farms near the border and killed the residents. This was intended to provoke the western neighbor practically at the beginning of the war.
    3. Colonel i G. (retired) Kulau, Hiddingen, writes in the Rothenburg district newspaper of Thursday September 14, 1989: “In January 1939 I was 18 years old. From 1932 I went to a boarding school near Berlin. I had just passed my driver's license when the long holidays began in early August 1939 and I drove home. Already at the lonely train station (three kilometers from the village) the stationmaster K. greeted me: "It's good that you're coming! Mother has been at the border with the Red Cross for ten days and runs a dressing station there for Germans from Poland! Your father is accommodating German refugees from Poland in the villages here!” Everyone is afraid that Poland would attack our area, especially since Polish planes often flew overhead.
I drove to the border several times in the evening to visit my mother and her seven to ten DRK nurses' helpers. There I saw the first German civilian wounded from the nearby villages in Poland! In the evening sky I saw many burning homesteads of these refugees!

"Once invaded the enemy will never again try to invade." From Russia and Poland with love. With farming, which was one of the initial attacks in both Ukraine and Poland, you need the kingpins because it takes a long time to learn it, and it's not written down. For example, just to the north, there isn't any, and Russia would be more stable. Russia as you know has gotten grain from the U.S., and it frustrates us that Ukraine and Poland started producing it; however, there was a recent story about valuable pigs, and a processing plant that cannot use the pigs above 200 lbs. They must be slaughtered partially manually. Anyway, once you have the kingpins in place, there are so many workers available in this Country. You should have some reasonable accommodations for them and some reasonable communication via Elon Musk.

“We are all elected, there is no doubt about that, to bring about the North German Confederation; the deputies of the province of Poznań are also not elected for any other legal reason; on this basis the residents are asked to vote, and as the 'facts' show, they 'participated' with an unusual zeal. If a protest is nevertheless directed against the formation of this federation, I think it is clear enough to recognize that this protest is directed against the unity of the Prussian monarchy itself. Because to 'protest' against the fact that the state to which one belongs is entitled to pursue its state goals also in association with other neighboring states with which it believes it can achieve them better, can in fact not occur to anyone else . The protest is therefore directed against the unity of the Prussian monarchy. It is not my task to illuminate the inaccuracy of the circumstances presented, but only to emphasize the general position of the Prussian government against these efforts. My main concern, however, is to combat the illusion that a significant number of the electorate of the Polish national deputies even agree with these aspirations, as if the gentlemen have some mandate to express these views here on behalf of their electors..."[8th]
This type of parliamentary discussion shows that the Polish people and their freely elected deputies in the Reichstag have been granted full democratic rights.
II. Poland's nationalist aspirations after the First World War
The German and Austrian Emperors had already declared in 1916 that they wanted an independent Poland, and in fact a Polish state was established in 1916 by the two Central Powers. Nevertheless, the Poles considered it appropriate to take advantage of Germany's defeat at the end of 1918 in order to incorporate large German areas of Silesia with rich coal mines, as well as the area of Posen/West Prussia with a total of over 2 million Germans, through acts of violence (military conquest against unarmed civilians). The area of Posen/West Prussia includes the »corridor«.
Its capture tore the German Reich in two against all political and economic reason. Instead of coming to a peaceful agreement with the then devastated German Reich, and above all without allowing the population to vote, Poland seized the territories it coveted. In its actions, it did not bother that the right of self-determination of the affected people, which US President Wilson made the basis of a peace settlement, was grossly disregarded. Wilson let the Poles go; they had given him forged documents and maps of the affected eastern areas[9] submitted. Wilson was satisfied with these documents without any verification because, as the North American historian Louis L. Gersonnoted in his work " Woodrow Wilson and the Rebirth of Poland " (German Würzburg 1956), the voices of the Polish population in the USA for required his re-election to the presidency.[10] The basic political direction, which is reflected in the quote: "Poland should be as pure as a glass of water"[11] expressed, represented by all parties and all politicians in Poland.
Disastrous developments towards World War II
    1. A visible sign of the perceived aggressiveness of our eastern neighbors is the 100 km long "Oder-Warthe-Bogen" fortress front, which was supposed to protect Germany from attacks from the east. Actually, it should be clear to everyone that only those who believe they have to protect themselves from attacks build such a structure and not someone who intends to attack himself. The same applies to the autobahns laid out by the German Reich, which preferably run in a north-south direction. If the German Reich had had plans to attack in the east, it would probably have had to build its autobahns accordingly.
    2. Poland, after its re-establishment after World War I, waged an imperialist war against almost all of its neighbors as a result of excessive nationalist feelings. Large areas were conquered and annexed (by states without an army!). Poland thus developed into a multinational state (similar to CSR and Yugoslavia), in which ethnic Poles only made up a narrow majority. A program of forced "Polonization" was now being pursued. The minorities (Jews, Ukrainians, Germans, Belarusians, Lithuanians and members of non-Polish Slavic remnants, such as Slonzaks), who mostly lived in closed areas, were harassed, expropriated and exposed to terrible living conditions overall, so that between 1921 and 1931 800,000 to 1 million Germans alone had to leave the country. That was half! In 10 years![12] Between 1918 and 1939 more than two thirds of the Germans were expelled from Poland. After the Polish campaign, the Reich tried to enable the expelled Germans to return to their homeland, and some ethnic Germans from the Baltic States and South Tyrol were settled in these areas. This is also proof of the peace policy of the German Reich. For if Germany had had aggressive plans against its neighbors, it would not have caused the ethnic Germans to settle in the Reich, but would have left them as a starting point for colonization in the areas of the East. The imperialist aspirations of the re-established Polish state are shown schematically in the graphic on the following page.
    3. Max von Ponçet writes in the Märkische Zeitung of March 2006 (p. 3 and 4): "... Easter 1922 we received the first notification that our estate Altomischel was intended for liquidation by the Polish state according to the Versailles Treaty. The land register was blocked and the Polish state immediately made an entry in the land register that the property was earmarked for the state after the liquidation regulations had been implemented..."
    4. On April 10, 1923, the Polish Prime Minister Sikorski stated that "the German threat" would not be removed until all German land had passed into Polish hands.
    5. On October 9, 1925, the Gazeta Gdansk read: “Poland must insist that it cannot exist without Königsberg, without the whole of East Prussia. We must now demand in Locarno that the whole of East Prussia be liquidated.

@Charles Martella you do realize, a lot of Germans came to America in the hopes of finding their own paths? Most of them were farmers. Remember, in the late 1770s and early 1800s, America was a wide open prairie outside of the eastern seaboard. The government here was practically giving land away. Being German has nothing to do with being militaristic. Recency bias has put those definitions together. Germany, in it's history, had been plagued with centuries of war. Literal centuries. Why wouldn't one want to leave that and go to a more docile place to live out one's life?
