Here’s a thought: I’d cast Ian and Maggie in a comedy thriller about two widowed, quarrelling neighbours who, during one of their bouts, stumble upon an obscure clue about a serial killer who committed a string of murders in their town decades ago. The police refuse to reopen the case as they hooked an innocent guy for it all those years ago so Ian and Maggie begrudgingly work together to uncover it.
What the hell is Hollywood doing with all the reboots. Develop original stories with the greats in mind and put them in lead roles ffs.

The one he tells about the pair of them at Buckingham Palace and them both actively looking for the throne room, finding it and both sitting on the Queen’s and Prince Philips thrones is fricking hilarious! 😂😂😂 he’s always misbehaving when he goes to the Palace it seems. He’s snuck out onto the main balcony for a cheeky cigarette, gone wondering about in other random rooms he shouldn’t be going in yet the Queen still invites him back often and allows him to be left unattended! @@jochenstossberg5427 I’d not got notifications for this comment until now so completely forgot I wrote it, until you commented. Looking back at what I wrote about all the things that he’s admitted to doing everytime he visits BP and just goes where he likes even though he knows he shouldn’t. Actually reminded me of all that stuff that came out about MeAgain doing the exact same thing before she even married Just Harry. And she got into so much trouble because she kept going into rooms she wasn’t allowed to and caught going through drawers and cupboards, that The Queen apparently insisted that anytime her and Just Harry visited that MeAgain wasn’t allowed to be left on her own and had to be accompanied by members of staff if she needed to use the restroom, changing room or Just Harry showing her rooms that he was allowed to go in. And it wasn’t just BP either it was all the Royal residency’s that she kept getting caught by staff members in places she shouldn’t have been, so she had to be watched and followed everywhere incase she ended up somewhere she shouldn’t! Yet it seems The Queen let’s Sir Ian and Dame Maggie do the exact same thing and like you said has a great sense of humor about them doing it, which is probably why she always asks them back, lets them as she knows they’re not going to cause any trouble or steal a famous and very valuable painting, vase or anything else that’s been in her family for generations(they probably stole an ashtray each or a roll of toilet paper like a lot of people seem to admit to taking if they get invited to BP!) and then laughs about what the pair of them got up-to when her staff members fill her in on their antics and “Adventures around Buckingham Palace.”
(I bet they could write a whole book of stories about what they’ve gotten up-to when visiting the place, and that’s probably the name they’d call it too, because there’s always something new one or both of them have done when they’ve been for another visit!) 🤣🤣🤣Unlike jewelry that apparently started disappearing when MeAgain came on the scene! 🧐

@@DRpokeme there is no actual CCTV inside Buckingham Palace itself from what I’ve seen, read and heard or any of the Royal residency’s, It’s all just on the outside, that’s why The Queen always has an armed guard outside her bedroom all night until early in the morning, due to the amount of times people have managed to get inside the building and up to The Queen’s actual bedroom with one guy actually making inside once and The Queen sat in bed talking to him because she had no way of contacting anyone else to report him. So she stayed awake all night and they just talked. He didn’t want to harm her apparently, he just wanted someone to talk to and thought The Queen was the best person because of everything that was happening in the UK at the time, people losing their jobs and homes and benefits getting cut Etc… from what I’ve read. Some other guy tried and he did want to harm her and Prince Philip and he almost made it to her Bedroom but got caught by a member of staff who had woken up to get a drink of water I believe. But multiple people have got inside the building, so they was added to the outside. It probably explains why all the reports of MeAgain going around and getting caught in rooms she shouldn’t have been in and going through drawers and cupboards was all reported to The Queen by members of staff who’d caught her which caused her getting into trouble and The Queen ordering that she’s not to be left alone and has to be accompanied by members of staff if she needs the restroom, changing room or was shown around by Just Harry well before they were even married she was caught snooping around in places she shouldn’t have been, and not just BP but all Royal residency’s MeAgain visited she had to be escorted around by members of staff because she couldn’t be trusted. And then there’s the missing jewelry that seemed to start going missing when those two got together apparently! A pair of earrings that belonged to the crown collection went missing the day MeAgain wore them and other pieces are missing and they vanished when she was wearing them apparently! So if they had CCTV inside they would be able to prove exactly what she was doing and not to just members of staff.

Great video, awesome story. To anyone wondering the word is "Pounamu", and is pronounced poe-nah-moo.
I met Sir Ian McKellen outside a theatre in Auckland. He was wearing his greenstone and we had a chat about its meaning. He was interested in māori lore. He told me how much he enjoyed the traditional feast he was invited to while filming LotR.
I remember it was so easy to talk with him that afterwards I walked away thinking, wow did that just happen?
