      ***** i think it's a difference if it's about the determination of a territory which is under control of the home country of these (descendants of) immigrants. if northern ireland was re-united with the rest of ireland, these protestant/british minority should have the same rights as the others. but not the right to secede

    Excuse my ignorance but why take few seconds to start singing when in the irish anthem the lyrics start at the same time than the song

    Shame on Michael D's children here, they stood with their hands crossed and didn't even sing the anthem, they should be ashamed of themselves disrespecting our Amhrán na bhFiann like that. However, Michael D. is a great man!

      He meant national anthem. The word "Amen" is never used as the final word of any national anthem.

      @@TMX1138 Nope, the language is just Irish, officially its called Irish in Bunreacht na hÉireann or An Ghaeilge, ‘irish gaelic’ is an american term and it is incorrect

      @@thegreypenguin5097 actually Gaelic is the language family, like Romance or Germanic. It splits into Irish, Scottish Gaelic, and Manx. To avoid confusion the family is often called Goidelic instead, but still there is no one language called gaelic
