    I made this for my sister-in-law since she gives us eggs from their hens! It is the most adorable chicken ever!! The shape comes together so nice and realistic. I used 24/7 cotton yarn, made a small nest, and even found some tiny brown eggs at Hobby Lobby to put in the nest. It will make a meaningful gift! Thank you for yet another great design! You are the best!

    This is so cute! I’m new to crochet and I’m curious if you could start with a magic loop + 8 sc instead of the ch 2?

    • @SweetSofties
      @SweetSofties  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Yes you can! With plush yarn it's recommended to do the chain method because it's hard to pull the magic ring closed (you risk the yarn breaking). But if you're using other types of fibers, startign with magic loop + 8 sc is teh same!

      @@SweetSofties Thank you! :) I did find out the hard way and broke some very thick yarn I had but I was able to make a magic loop the second try while tugging slowly and holding onto the stitches firmly. Woohoo!

    Do you have any tips on crocheting with that kind of yarn?

    • @SweetSofties
      @SweetSofties  Před rokem +1

      Yes! You can check this post out: www.sweetsofties.com/2019/08/crocheting-with-fluffy-yarn.html
      It applies to furry/fluffy yarns because they generally have poor stitch definition making it hard to see the stitches.
