- Antonio Cairoli and Alessandro Lupino in action during some pre season test with the new Ducati 450 Demo MX. Conditions of the track were brutal, a lot of ruths and bumps. The day before Mantova was the theater of the last round of Internazionali d'Italia MX Series.

This is some raw footage of testing. Can't wait to see it dialed in.
Don't worry... Looks like they are close... You can tell by the fine and precise adjustments made with the angle grinder....😂😂😂
Always with the deep tone . Never disappoints . Welcome to the game .
...can't wait until it's just the sound of a vacuum cleaner with chain slap and shocks topping out from those electric bikes, eh? LOL!
Sounds like every other 4-stroke mx bike.
@@HorsepowerHouse I was waiting for a different tone but was surprised that it sounds like other conventional 450s.
Now that is what I call a test track there isn't a smooth line on the track filled with ruts awesome job guys. PS, yah definitely didn't make it easy for the test riders. That's how ya test a bike Great job Ducati
Pretty obvious Ducati's focus is MXGP and the Euro market. I don't think any track with gate fees in the U.S. aren't groomed anymore.
Maybe us Yankees need to test like that because last time I checked, tracks get rough as the day goes on. Plus it is fun to ride in those conditions, not race though.
The bike looks uncomfortable in those conditions
Its clear to me that ducati is making a bike for the faster riders, I don’t even think thats a question, in fact i wouldn’t be surprised if it has the strongest numbers on the dyno when it comes out
In my experience, that’s just how the average European track looks… not a bad thing, just different…
Awesome testing footage- very exciting to see the Ducati team program continue - amazing
that's the gnarliest track I think i've ever seen.
I was going to comment about that. They need to plow it to smooth it for testing at higher speeds. It's so gnarly, Cairoli and Lupino have to go slow.
get arm pump just watching 😂
@@Ranger_Dog311 - 😂😂
I was also gonna comment how rough it is.
Thats europe
They should adopt the CRF front fender shown here instead of the giant shovel they had at the release, huge spot for mud to build up in my opinion. Bike looks fast i'm a 450 rider, and it looked good to me, all these comments on here have clearly never riden a track in these conditions, clearly a chassis test. Ducati engineers aren't stupid, bike will more than likely be an awesome machine, I only worry about the $$$ tag. Appreciate the content🏁🤙
Thank you! I agree with you. From the middle to the top the engine looks really fast
Yes... Might as well add the CRF plastics to match the CRF frame and suspension...😂
The number plate is from a CRF too lol. Shrouds look vaguely hondaish as well, but they're not straight from a CRF. I'm actually hoping they stick with the unique look that was in the reveal rather than going with a more milquetoast design like this.
It'll be another $13,500 bike that'll cost you $8K when the engine goes.
Maybe toni wants to race a honda back then..
One heck of a test track !😮
I just realised it's a race track in the mxgp schedule Mantova
Italiani bravo!!!
After Triumph, MX world will be amazing next years!!!👍😎🇫🇷🏁
What a great track! Welcome to motocross Ducati and Hello from New York!
Bravissimi, e bel video. E come non apprezzare i ritocchi col flessibile, grandioso!
Grazie!
Man they sound sooo good!
Sounds beautiful
Ottimo report 😊
Grazie
À première vue encore beaucoup de travail !!!!!
this is what development looks like in reality - tough track, bike less than dialled, looks like there is a long road ahead
That track in gnarly!👊🏽✊🏽
@Mattia_Carpi Unfortunately we would have to be on here
I’m buying one. They are going to be great
😂😂😂😂😂
Holy cow that's a rough track
Europen style
There was an international race their last weekend
@@MattiaCarpiI've always said that's what makes euros so talented they have to learn how to ride someone smooth on that how the Americans attack the track they won't last a full moto. Vialle, roczen, musquin, hunter, Prado, Dylan, friese😂😂😂😂😂 jk but but they all have a different flow.
Its about time!!!😄😄😄
Love all these new manufactures coming into the moto game (Ducati, Triumph, Beta). Gonna give riders more opportunity to get factory rides and make the racing better for all us moto heads around the world. 🤘
@@panterone1769 yes, but they are just now getting into motocross and supercross (supercross more specifically).
Pretty strong sounding engine👍😎🥳
Ducati, TM and Beta, and fantic are the best 4 italian dirt bike manufacture brands ever
Arguably, some of the fantics are just rebranded Yamaha’s with a few bolt-ons.
THe old Italian Husky''s were pretty good.
That track is in pretty rough shape. I agree definitely a chassis test.
They sound great
Sounds like a 450 from 10 years ago
The one with the Akrapovic sounds good
2 strokes by Ducati will be wild!
They are fire-breathing monsters... How do they handle though? Funny to see the grinding wheel out, too. Reminds me of the old days of the 70's where that was a regular thing.
Sharped the footpegs, deep nasty track like that you don't want your feet ripped off in the deep stuff.🏁🤙
I was just thinking, it looks like the bike is a handful. Maybe handling issues?
These bikes are badass
Thing sounds really good. Deep 450 sound might be the best sounding 450
Justin Barcia just took his shirt off....
Bel video
Grazie!
So sick dude. Love the look of the black plastics, but I'm assuming it's just a placeholder while the bike is under development.
This is what a proper European motocross track looks like, gnarly as hell. Loving the bike so far as well, looks really unique and sounds great.
Proper, meaning awful for a regular person to enjoy. 👎
@@HorsepowerHousea regular guy will do great there after a couple of hours! Don't talk yourself down!
@@mariussantha3029 No. Regular guys want to have fun. Period.
@@HorsepowerHouse I am a regular guy, started riding when in my late 30 and now early 50. I enjoy all kinds of tracks. It's just good practice
to race on a track like that is no fun since our skills are not up to it, to practice and just ride it it is a lot of fun.
Grazie Mattia!
Grazie! 💪🏻
Sounds AMAZING and looks fast as hell !!!
Sounds the same as any other 4 Banger!
At what point in the video did they look fast as hell?😂😂
They sound like the king of the jungle!

You have described my '24 300SX. Magical...
@@andymorgan385sounds exactly like every other. I have no idea why some people think it's any different. 🤷
that bike is crispy
You got some rough tracks across the pond.
Sounds excellent. I think I can hear the desmo exhaust note.

That second map!!
If my memory serves me correctly, I remember Josh Coppins riding for Aprilia developing their prototype
MX bike
Sounds like a freer revving engine, probably wouldn’t have as much engine breaking I’d assume with not having valve springs, might be why you can hear the chain slapping a whole lot with less tension on it
Come cantano 😍✊🏻✊🏻
Love how all the American's are like "damn that track is unrideable" 90% of the tracks over here are like that haha
True😂
Ducati should let the 222 do some testing in the ama National series this summer!
I can’t stop seeing a Honda
On the test bike the plastics are the same of the CRF
Top end of the motor looks like a Honda
Plastics Honda
@@MattiaCarpi did they do that to trick us?
Also I prefer the more traditional fender
@@MattiaCarpiThey are Nothing like Honda's plastics LMAO.
Honda also doesn't have the rear silencer exposed like all the European bikes do so you can scratch & dent them up easily!
I also like that the bike is loud and keep that but the sound is still off. Work on that pipe and make this bike sound like it’s as fast as a jet. The sound is very important for sales
Is lupino riding a Honda ? The difference in the how the 2 bikes look and react is astronomically different. Looks like a bit of a handful even for cairoli! I know it’s early development! Interesting to see the end result
I believe from what I’ve seen that the two bikes were pretty different. They also have two Crfs but they aren’t in this video
Che rumore fantastico
One thing I heard was all the chain slap on the swing arm. My KX250F is the same way. Drives me nuts. Does it no matter how I set the tension. Of course the harder it is ridden the less it does it. Guess I need to speed up.
Dude, that looks schmick!! Deegan would look awesome on one 😜Still some work but these boys will be pulling in that much data it’s not funny… I’m thinking she will be dialled with loads of gnarly electronics! 🎉
All the specs are out now too I think?
Who’s Deegan?
lol I’m sure you know who he is!
I see it from here: Too much power!
Tuff conditions, good for testing 😂❤
The Bike sounds deep
Glad the fenders don’t look like batmans car fenders
These are just test bikes with CRF plastics on
The one they showed looked like Owen Wilson
Sound great! Although it looks like the bike has a way to go to get dialed in.
❤️ top. Win ❤
Looks like the suspension needs to be softened up, and slow the rebound down.
sure thing 😂
@@kenwheeler5837 oh you sound but hurt or something? Are you one of the bike engineers? Do you ride ?
I like that you're trying to tell the 9 time world champ how to set up his bike. 😂
When the flag drops drops
At least Triumph for brave enough to enter their 250 in the Supercross
That went very well up against the best in the world
That track is beat
Did you see the the real CRF on the left at the start of the vidéo ? ( with the same black racetech plastics). They can compare the Ducati to this and improve.
Grande Tonino
Did they ever get out of second gear?
Get some good suspension testing done on that track...so rough 😮
First, I gotta say I LOVE that track. I live about 3 miles from Thunder Valley, and the constant grooming of that track with its sculpted jumps that are either WFO or roll them absolutely sucks. Leave it like this 5:28
Anyways....haven't followed their desmo system performance differences over the years (remember when it was first talked about ages ago), but it'd be interesting to see their power/torque curves and also info on weight differences compared to spring systems as well as the bike's rotational moment compared to others.
Hey there fellow Coloradian!
Is it me, or does it sound "different" (not necessarily bad)... at Idle and at speed?
Body sames crf???
I love that they're testing on some rutted up peice of dirt rather than some who would be on perfectly groomed soil? (Ricky on his Triumph)lol!
Seems like it revs really fast for a 450. Not much flywheel weight !
Go Champs Go !
I think TM will be a part of Ducati soon.
will they have a 250 ?
Who we sign. ET3 and Deegs?
Somebody said KR

What regulations have changed in motocross so that this bike can compete?
Some rough track that 😂
Great Test , No Grooming of the track It's Ruff. And Beat Up 🤣😬Really test that Bike
Sounds just like the old KTM RFS motor except with a higher rev limiter.
what was they doing with grinder geez
Does the angle grinder come with the bike in the Spares kit. WTF?😂😂
Banging the front plate, taking an angle grinder to a brand new bike.
I think I'll pass on buying one!
@@marclarden 😂
grinding off the honda badges 🤣
What's up with all the chatter from the shock linkage? Suspension looks terrible and the front/ rear fenders need a better design. I wonder how this bike is going to stack up against the other bikes.
Waiting for the Ducati DX450RR Dakar Rally Racer. The desert beckons Ducati to challenge Honda, KTM and Hero...
