- In this video I will show you how we broke our Proline Brute Bash Armor body and why buying one may not be a good idea. I will review the Brute Bash Armor body and tell you my thoughts on why I will not buy another one. In these times of unbreakable body craze and thicker RC bodies maybe we are causing other breaking points...cause I broke it. Should you buy a Proline Brute Bash Armor body? You decide.

I was considering one of these type bodies. Thank you so much for being so honest and real. Subbed and look forward to your content.
Glad I could help thanks for the sub.
Thanks . Inexpensive now thanks to not being worth $80
Interesting video. Nice to have real people posting videos with no agenda, just honest opinions. Thanks :)
Thank you for your video and comments, what you say makes a lot of sense. I have just bought my first RC car (Xmaxx) and was looking at the Proline Brute Bash body BUT will not now be getting it as I said your points are so right. Thanks for your honesty and trouble in putting your video together.
Bro thank you dude!!! I ran my ecx ruckus (steel 87T Spur 16t pinion w/castle sidewinder 3 censored combo) ...and it absolutely tore through my pro line body Chevy Silverado 2500 HD 4×4.
Wow great review thanks. I almost purchased one too
Thanks for sharing I was thinking of buying one but not sure now👍
No problem, I was really excited about it but now just disappointed.
U should try velcro the shell to the sides. I do it on my kraton although it's just the stock shell. Not sure how well it would work with the bash armour.
Thanks for reviewing a product you actual used first! I was wondering the same thing about those bodies being too stiff. For $100 I'll save and get a few cheapies instead. :)
I've gotta admit I got an unbreakable one from Russia for my outcast / notorious and it's really taking a beating with no issues at all. Don't know what to think of the proline one's after watching your vid. Not confidence boosting 🤣 keep it up buddy good info! Was quite a gnarly landing! 😂😂
I've held both in my hand side by side and the Brute Bash Armor is probably about 3 times thicker. While the Russian body does flex some the Proline is very rigid.
i just bought a unbreakable outcast body hope i enjoy it
Did you try modifying the body to chassis support (on top of the center diff housing) to fit that body?
Just cancelled my order for this body. I can't have the chassis get damaged due to the body of the truck... that sucks! Thanks for posting.
No problem, thanks for watching and commenting hope you have a great day.
$20 chassis is cheaper than an $80 standard body with drywall tape and shoe goo JS
Mine just arrived without pre-cut holes...smh, and now this.
Quality control is none existent...
cracked mine that was without running it just did drop test where i droped the car on it's wheels from waist hight and cracked the mounting holes one on left front other on right rear.
That should never happened, it is crazy.
I noticed a company called TMT now makes them. They are a lot more flexibel
Damn I’ve seen the video n damn u was very brutal wit it!! U kept landing on the top of the truck hard and yea something is Gona break the way u bashed it!! Lol shit!!
Dag. Well I'm glad I've watched this video before I bought one.
What about the russian unbreakable bodies, did you have the same issue with those?
No, they do have some give to them, not as rigid.
So the Russian one is the way to go?
It looks like it, the Proline is way to rigid.
@@FatherandSonHavingFun I agree with you on that for sure..Needs a bit of give
I've seen other reviewers breaking them as well. Definitely too thick and non flexible.
Damn. I forgot about your video here. I bought one
Had any issues yet? I didn't have any until a couple of hard landings on the top and back. Hopefully you land your jumps on the wheels and all is well.
@@FatherandSonHavingFun Not yet. I did have a few bad landings the other first time and so far so good. I'll let you know. I'm about to head out with my son.
@@FatherandSonHavingFun Well today I ended up with the same cracks that you have on the rear of the body after a few bad landings today. I'll go to the LHS and see what he says (that's where I bought it). I should have put some foam and gorilla tape in that area before it happened. I know that I gorilla taped the inside of my xmaxx 8s new body and I still don't have cracks after two runs (I had some cracks when I didn't do that with the original body). Bummer. I should have just bought a stock $50 body. Damn.
@@FatherandSonHavingFun I raised the body posts in the rear and will add foam and gorilla tape to the bottom to try to stop the cracking. What a waste of time and money.
Yeah, it sucks because they charge so much for these bodies and I've had better luck with gorilla tape and lexan body. The VW body has been amazing for a $25 body and gorilla tape.
Arrma is best sad too hear that about pro line body shells just subscribe too your channel
Love my Arrma, glad to have you as a subscriber.
Wish I’d have seen this before I bought one. They are crap. Mine lasted 4 charges. Waste of money.
And it cost soooooo much......
@@FatherandSonHavingFun LOL if you think 90 bucks is a lot of money then you are in the wrong hobby.
Proline tires are even worse.. they literally spent money on a special formulation to make the tires wear faster..
Stop telling stories, Proline tires last quite a long time when you run them on the proper terrain. Most people, however, don't realize that offroad tires were made for offroad terrain and run them in parking lots and on the pavement. Then they cry when they wear down the tread. If you run on pavement get street tires, you run offroad get offroad tires... geezzz is the logic really that hard to follow here.
True
@@clabszero yes. I "dig" my Pro line TrencherX . Crazy grab.cheers
Are you stupid armma is owned by horizon hobby's and they work with proline because they are also a part of horizon hobby's it's all tied to horizon hobbys now and is made by the same people and the new proline body is unbreakable not meaning it doesn't crack it me it doesn't snap if it gets lifted to high on the sides as a personal owner of an arrma myself I don't get why people think stuff won't break it will and you just have to fix it but honestly no hard feeling
Are you stupid? Great way to start a comment... First of all Proline works with all RC companies if it is profitable, so the fact that Horizon Hobby owns Arrma is irrelevant. Also if you watch the video I said it wasn't a big deal that it ripped the body as much as it transferred the force to other components causing them to break. Have a great day....😎😎😎
@@FatherandSonHavingFun and now HH owns Pro line. Take care and thanks .stay optimistic FFF.
