    Dear Sir, thank you for your excellent instructional video. It is very helpful becase I need to replace my 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage sparkplugs and it will be similar. My car is 24 years old, and parts for 1.5L are sometimes extinct. I wonder if I could use 1.8L valve tube seals for my 1.5L car if they are the same. There must be something that fits, there are so many MIrage's still around.

      Hello, thank you for appreciating my video!
      As for your quest to search for 2000 Mirage parts, know that it has many names, the most popular of which is the Lancer.
      I think you can find many parts online because based on you car model, the engine name should be 4G15 which is quite popular and been used on other car models as well. The 1.8L is 4G93 which is very different from 4G15 so I doubt if parts are cross-compatible. That said, I suggest you should refer by the engine name when looking for parts. If you could take out the part and bring it to your local shop, they should be able to provide an exact replacement. Good luck and Godbless!

    what is that estabilizer bar for? i know the name may sound of something, but not so sure what it meas or for what is that used? I have the same car, and it has some strange vibration more over the right side. Just replaced right and left engine mounts, and stills wiggle a lot more than it should. Any advise?

      Stabilizer bar reduces body roll during cornering. That is because the body of most unibody cars is not very rigid - the part that holds the wheels through the struts (coil spring + shock absorber) flexes during cornering. The upper stabilizer bar in particular will absorb the energy from one wheel and transfer it to the other wheel to counter the undesired flexing. This undesired flexing is what causes the body roll.

      As for the vibration - it can be difficult to pinpoint what that is without me inspecting your car in person. There can be numerous kinds of vibration caused by numerous factors. But since you changed your mounts, then I pressume that you are sure that it is the engine.
      Then you might want to consider these (in order of difficulty):
      1. Grade of oil: recommended is 0W-20. This is a thin oil recommended for eco engines.
      2. Air intake is not obstructed
      3. Fuel - make sure you get your fuel from reliable stations (i.e. no water added, correct octane rating) try 95RON instead of the minimum allowed which is 91.
      4. Inspect Spark Plugs and Ignition Coils - if at least 1 of these is defective, it will cause vibrations.
      5. Alternator - while running, this will supply the electricity to #4. If not enough electricity is generated, then #4 will be affected.
      6. Compression - check the pressure in your cylinders. Maybe one of the three is having loose compression.
      7. Timing - this is unlikely since 3A92 engine uses timing chain, but this can be the worse case problem.

      Hi sir sorry for the late reply. Hindi po need ng special tool. Need nyo lang ng spark plug socket - hindi po yan special, common yan, even sa mga motor laging may kasamang ganyan. Sa kotse nga lang walang kasama. Madami po sa Lazada or Shopee, I recommend bili kayo ng magnetic para mahahatak yung spark plug. Bili na din kayo ng set (other socket sizes at ratchet) kung meron. Torque Wrench and/or breaker bar ay optional.

    sir nung tiningnan ko ang stock sp ng g4 ko ang nakalagay ay ngk laser iridium. ok lang ba palitan ng platinum?

    • @tripnaminph
      @tripnaminph  Před 11 měsíci +1

      Yes. Even copper.
      Iridium yun stock kasi pang matagalan ang iridium. Pero in terms of performance, copper ang the best. Gitna ang platinum. As long as same ang sukat, ok lang.
      Sa case ko, every change oil ko kasi iniinspect ang sp ko. At mura lang naman ang platinum, so palitan ko na lang lagi. Yun stock ko na iridium, nabasag nung 25,000km pa lang. So kung imamaintain mo nag iridium, still inspect every 25,000km.

      @tripnaminph  Před rokem +1

      Hello sir. 5/8 yun mismong socket size na kailangan para sa spark plug. Pero ang tinutukoy nyo yata ay socket drive - yun koneksyon ng socket at ng ratchet. Depende sa sukat ng ratchet nyo. Yung sakin ay 1/2.
      In short, ang spark plug socket na 5/8 ay pwedeng 1/2 or 3/8 ang socket drive.

    • @tripnaminph
      @tripnaminph  Před 5 měsíci

      Mura ang platinum, pinakamura copper. Mahal ang iridium pero mas matagal maupod ang iridium tip, rated at 100,000 km. Kaso, yun iridium na stock ko ay nabasag yun ceramic insulator at 28,000km, kaya pinalitan ko ng copper. Walang silbi na 100,000km ang iridium tip kung yung ibang part ay nasira. Kaya need i-inspect ang sp every 25,000km. @@niloyu105
