      It happens to me too down there, but it happens everywhere when someone stays long enough in a region. Have an Aussie friend here in Louisiana that every once in a while a southern twang will come out of his mouth, we all have a good laugh at his expense, but on the other hand he's a Blues fan, so he has bigger problems than his accent!

    He has a mixture of an American and Australian accent. I hope over the years he still maintains his American accent.

      Well as of his interview on the Pat Mcafee Show yesterday, honestly i'd say he's developing more of the Australian Accent now than in this video. He's starting to lose his Texas twang lol

    As an Irish person, I'm with the Americans on the last one, neither on the Downtown/CBD one, and the Australians on all the rest. I'd say town centre. Had heard of Downtown before (notably in the song), but CBD is new to me. Central Business District, I guess?

      No, Pies delete nothing. I'll leave it up just to remind people how much Blocking goes on in footy. Eagles had a hollow victory handed to them by blocking going unpenalized. The game is in ruins now thanks to them. Maynard and Cox couldn't buy a free kick all day. Nothing new for Magpies. We expect nothing from the umps.

    • @DaveWhoa
      @DaveWhoa Před 5 lety +1

      "it was a hollow victory", says the Collingwood supporter. "The game is in ruins now" - because of a single block, he says. That block might've cost a goal, but your own runner also cost you a goal. It's a game of 4 quarters, if you lose and think a single incident is the reason for the loss then maybe your team should've done more to remove any doubt?

    • @powerofone1645
      @powerofone1645 Před 5 lety

      Maynard had both hands on the ball (normally called a mark) then he was hit by an eagles player. Broke some ribs. But he played on only to be blocked in the closing minute. Dom Sheed took an uncontested mark as a result. Rioli's block was ignored by the umpire. Go figure. The game is crap. I wouldn't blame Maynard if he quit AFL and chose another sport.
