As a main argus, I have a few points to point out:
Natalia: Argus is only really countered by it if it has bad game play, all it needs to do is avoid its "fog".
Akai: Yes, Akai is a complete counter, if one of these falls on the enemy team you must be alert and avoid it with all your might.
Gatot: It works as a counter only until the mid game, in the late game an argus with a good build and gameplay is not stopped by it.
Yes avoid fog as he use ult avoid fog is not solution until this fog disappear his ult also cools down

I'm an argus Main, I hate it when the enemy team has an akai the others aren't that big of a problem to me a common technique to not die from them is called DODGING and being PATIENT with your ultimate it will be cruicial I'm telling ya depends on the situation if your confident you can win the fight

Argus is the default best hero in the game. Mostly bc of his ult but things like consistent damage, that chain he has, and the fact that the lower his hp the more dangerous he is does make him quite formidable even without his ult. In the early game he loses to almost everyone of the fighters and has a difficult time with tanky heroes. In the mid game most fighters fall off but tanky ones still a bit of difficulty. In the late game, if you're not carching him by surprise, have lots of CC, and aren't constantly attack grouping him then it's pretty much over. The best advice I can give and this goes with all other heroes but Argus specifically in this case is to not let him farm in the early game.
Also, if you want to play smart then just run away when he ults. It's a disgraceful tactic but an effective one. Things like Dominance, halberd, wind, and that one who freezes your hero for like 2s or so work pretty well.
